About the Author

Chris Moreau has a Masters Degree in Education and for the past 24 years has taught music for the public school system in Spokane, WA. While she is a novice at novel writing, her experience teaching 600 students per week in grades K- 6 makes her an expert at entertaining children; she knows their likes and dislikes, their somewhat unusual sense of humor, and what it takes to engage them in learning in todays media saturated world.
Mrs. Moreau and her husband Mickey are past members of the Spokane Astronomical Society. Their mission is to promote and nurture interest in the exploration of space and its related sciences. This passion for astronomy and for educating children and teachers in the sciences is, in part, what led her to write this book.
About herself she says, On the outside Im a forty-something music teacher who loves books and movies. On the inside, I am still a too-tall 11 year old sitting spellbound in front of a black and white T.V. watching Neil Armstrong take one small step for man . . .
