Special Agent Joe Cross of the Federal Bureau of Investigations scrambles to find a killer who represents his biggest failure to date. Twelve years ago, a man killed a young girl and got away with it. Now he's at it again. But this time Joe is determined not to fail. Leaving his family behind, he travels to Florida and begins the arduous task of sifting through impossible evidence in an unfamiliar environment. The killer expertly evades the local talent, leaving nothing behind as evidence, but his obsession with a woman of innocent appeal may become his inevitable ruin. As the killer slowly loses himself in the strong urges to kill, he fights for normalcy, despising that part of himself that he keeps hidden from the world, wanting what he knows he can never have. Only his victims know his identity, and they aren't speaking anymore. He's never failed, and he's convinced he never will. He is untouchable, untraceable, unstoppable.

This is my first C.D. Blizzard book but it won't be the last. I was not sure this was my kind of book, because I usually do not read fiction, but the story grabbed me and I could not put it down. The author will take you into the mind of each person in this thriller. As I was reading, I could imagine this as a movie. Because of her style of writing you are able to totally imagine each place and person in the story. You don't have to live in Florida to like this book but to those of us who do, it is spectacular knowing the places she is describing throughout the book. I can't wait to order another one of C.D.Blizzards books. What are you waiting for? you won't be disappointed...

With a grab-you plot and interesting characters--the killer especially!--the story moves and surprises and keeps you worrying about the innocent would-be victim, Lindsey, until the very end.

Serial killer books are a dime a dozen these days, but when they are done with style and flair, they still entertain us. And C. D. Blizzard can definitely write a good story. The thing I love the most about this author is that C. D. will not bore you. Every book is a little bit different, sometimes vastly different. She doesn't pump out the same story over and over again. I like that. You never know what you are going to get. I highly recommend Profile. It's a solid, well told mystery\suspense. And the characters are well written.

This is one of those stories that keeps you guessing. Every time you think you know who the killer is the plot takes another turn. Great read.

I agree. C. D. Blizzard can spin a good yarn for sure. This book is direct, an honest look at the characters. No softsell here. And a really enjoyable read.

Profile is a gritty, no-apologies story. Hardcore but not over the top. Easily keeps the reader's interest. I really like this author, and highly recommend her books.
