About the Author
Sophomore year sparked the greatest year in my high school career, and my worst year in my personal life. During this time my school was selected to sing in the National Youth Chorale. This was held in New York City at the prestigious Carnegie Hall with conductor Moses Hogan. At the same time I was selected for Who's Who among American High School Students. Dealing with the separation and then the divorce of my parents. Mixed with drunken fights, dating others, and having other kids; and just confused about what was going to happen with our family. It was a constant struggle trying to be focused on my school work because that year we had to be ready for anything. I can say it was the darkest moment in memory. Jumping to 2004 when I graduated high school and went to college. After I didn't graduate from EKU I had a child in 2006 and moved to Lexington to be with her.
