About the Author

Lacey Black is a Midwestern girl with a passion for reading, writing, and shopping. She carries her e-reader with her everywhere she goes so she never misses an opportunity to read a few pages. Always looking for a happily ever after, Lacey is passionate about contemporary romance novels and enjoys it further when you mix in a little suspense. She resides in a small town in Illinois with her husband, two children, and a chocolate lab. Lacey loves watching NASCAR races and should only consume one mixed drink because she’s a lightweight.

Lacey’s debut novel, Trust Me, was released in August 2014. It sent several weeks in the top 100 in contemporary romance on Amazon’s Top 100 Best Sellers for e-books. Fight Me, book 2 in the Rivers Edge series, released December 2014 and was followed by Expect Me, Rivers Edge book 3 in February 2015. Both were also Amazon Best Sellers in contemporary romance.

If you ever fantasized about what it would be like to be at your favorite rock concert, and have the sexy lead singer that you've crushed on forever see you across a crowded room and instantly fall in love with you, this book is that fantasy come to life! Jase Bentley is completely swoon-worthy, and as Avery's best friend since we first meet her in the beginning of the Rivers Edge series, Holly Jenkins truly deserves a happily ever after. This novella is sexy and swoon-worthy, and was surprisingly heartfelt and well-developed given its length. Enjoy!

5 star I was pulled right into this story. The story flowed well I read it in one sitting. The story has laughs, betrayal, pain, and heartbreak.  If you have not I would recommend reading the below books first: Trust Me (Rivers Edge, #1) Fight Me (Rivers Edge, #2) Expect Me (Rivers Edge, #3) This is Holly and Jase’s story. Holly meets Jase at a concert.  He knows right away he wants Holly forever.  He gets her number but she assumes he will never call her.  She is a nurse and he’s a rock star.  After that night they stay in contact and form a long distant relationship as he is on tour.  Between the crazy ex and the press can they make a relationship work or are they just kidding themselves?  The problem is they are both in up to their hearts but is it better if they just break it off before they both get hurt?  Or are they going to hurt each other in the process of making it work? A lot of crazy twists and turns but in the end can they come back to each other?   I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.  I highly recommend this book, this series and this author.

Oh Lacey you never disappoint. Of course I knew you wouldn't. I loved the first 3 books to your River Edge series. Even though this one was a shorter story it was A-W-E-S-O-M-E. Yes I had to write it out like that. I thought this story with Holly and Jase was well thought out. I don't know who her editor is but she definitely needs to keep them on her payroll since there was barely and when I mean barely I mean like no mistakes. Usually I find quite a few with the books I read but this one had maybe one mistake. And it wasn't a big deal. Holly-I love her. I can so relate to her with helping her best friend and her family. I thought she was strong minded person. When things got difficult she had to make a decision, either give up or deal with it. Did she make the right one? Seriously do you really think I am going to answer that? Read Promise Me and find out for yourself. Jase-WOW he is one heart stopping hunk of a man. He falls head over heels for a woman he just met. All while meeting Holly situations start to arrive right after another was solved. Can he have what he wants or will she be gone for good? I liked how this was much more different then most romance books I read. Usually the man and woman meets and they hit it off quickly and sleep together, and etc. In this book Lacey set it off as they got to know each other before anything happened. It did have it's moments when reading it you knew what was going to happen and it did. It had its moments where you were wrong. The sex was intense and perfect for these two characters. It had it's awwww moment. And it had it's I need a tissue moment. Yes Lacey you made me cry. I wouldn't consider this a stand alone book but if you wanted a quick read and could get past the couples that were made in the first three books, then this is the book for you. I so recommend this book to everyone.
