About the Author

Josie Bordeaux is the author of the Alluring Promises series. Her romance novels revolve around friendships, amazing attraction and steamy sex scenes. Lust, passion and love are all entwined with a lot of drama and fun-filled friendships. Josie lives in the sunshine state with her best friend (AKA - husband) and two sweet (and very creative) daughters. When she's not driving her kids around town, she's usually clicking her fingernails on her keyboard or down at the beach where her eyes are glued to her kindle app reading.

Wow! This was a FANTASTIC read. I was lucky enough to nab this one for free. I thought it sounded like a good story and she is a new author...so why not give it a chance? I'm SOOOO glad I did. This story had it all. Romance, steamy love scenes (very-very sexy and not overly written), a "Dominant" ex and a psycho female ex, mystery, and did I mention SEXY! The main male character Z was all man and just down right perfect. Lizzy, the adorable main female character, well I felt really sorry for her. She had a rough up bringing and her ex was a heartless-commanding JERK! I couldn't stop reading this story. It was heart wrenching and you never knew how the plot was going to unravel.. PLEASE give this author a chance, you won't be disappointed.

The story starts out promising - the heroine running away from a unhealthy relationship. Her friends take her in and a new 'love interest' immediately materializes. After several chapters of angsty 'I can't start a new relationship now, I'm just over a bad one,' Izzy and the new love interest, Jake, get together. Jake is controlling, jealous, tells her who she can see, starts fights, etc. Didn't she just run away from this? But somehow Jake the bar owner is a 'good guy' because he'll say 'I love you and the former-boyfriend billionaire is a 'bad guy, because he won't. I skimmed the last half of the book to confirm it would end as I suspected, which it did.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were very solid. I loved the chemistry between Z and Izzy. It was also nice and sexy. No real complaints here.

This was a great read. The characters have so much chemistry from the beginning that u get sucked right into this story. Theres only one thing i would have changed that got on my nerves, and that was izzy biting that damn lip every other paragraph i was ready to yell for someone to feed her a damn hamburger already, ever since fifty shades of grey thats all these female characters do it is annoying. I am sure that not every man on this planet gets off on that as this was rarely heard of in romance novels before fifty shades i wish writers would get that already. But all in all this book as i said was a great read its one u need in your library for sure. Buy this book it is so worth it and enjoy it as i did.

I absolutely loved this story. A great group of friends in their mid to late 20's, old friends, new friends and rekindled friendship. Izzy and Z are the primary couple in this story, and boy do the have their ups and downs. Z owns the night Club Allure where everyone works or gathers. The way the author builds and describes her characters makes them very real, and yet enough is left open so you can fill them out with your imagination. It will run your emotions thru loops. I can see this be the first of many in this series. Can't wait to read Romantic Promise Be warned, this is not only a 5 star book, but you run the risk of having a major book hangover! (less)

I really enjoyed the characters and the storyline of finding yourself again after being lost to an unhealthy relationship was really good, but please get this properly edited. There were way too many incorrect or dropped words which got in the way of my reading. The authors have talent in creating a great story worth reading, but please find help with the technical side.

This was my first ebook from this author and I enjoyed it immensely. The story starts out introducing the main character as a young kid, then we find out what she has gone through as a adult. At times the story had some repetition but over all it was very good. I can't wait to read her next book and continue this series. I hope at some point she writes about the 'bad' guy McKnight and give him a girl that will not put up with his sh**. Enjoy

The story kept me reading to the end to find out what happens. I'll admit there were times when Izzy's reactions made little sense, at least until you get more of her back story. By then end it's clear she was a woman put in one bad situation after another who finally broke free. I'm not a fan of spoilers so I won't go far with what happens int he story, but I wanted to see Izzy's journey to the end. If you like stories about finding yourself and learning to trust, this one is for you.

Long and drug out without enough details, if that makes sense. I love a good long book if it has depth to it. Young good friends living together, having fun, drinking, but no real depth. The author tried but didn't quite succeed. I like the characters mostly and not a bad story line just not as intense as it could have been.

I liked this romance. The middle of the book became a little drawn out and started to get boring but not for long. The word giggle was used too much and became annoying. Made the characters sound like teenagers. For a first time author it was very good.
