This was just a fun read- one that makes a bad week better. Properly Groomed is the 3rd book in the Wedding Favors series but can be read as a stand alone. The author writes a lighthearted story that just makes you smile. And there is some sexy time which makes the book even more entertaining. I am looking forward to reading the other 2 books in the series! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I've got to admit that I had a lot of fun reading this book. I mean, who doesn't love the forbidden brother's best friend angle? Anyhoo, it was a great light-hearted romance with just the right amount of heat to keep it interesting. Now despite the fact that their relationship developed at mock-speed after years of denial from both sides, I'll admit that their relationship entirely worked for me. Sure I would have loved a bit more development there at the end, but I'll still admit that enjoyed it. I think the only thing that I didn't like was the name Joya, I kept changing it to Georgia in my head, but other than that this book was an all-around entertaining read I think most will enjoy.

Joya has had a crush on her brother's best friend for years. She is staying at her brother's house after his wedding. Turns out he told he's friend Linc he could stay there too. So they will be both be in the same place for two weeks. Read how this turns out. Cute story.

Joya woke up and everything hurt from too many cosmopolitans the night before at her brother and good friends Rory’s wedding. Joya Joya had been a bridesmaid and the thundering headache and awful thirst was her punishment fro over indulging. But unfortunately joya had to get up and could not just sleep her hangover away. Then she realized there was a naked man in bed with her. Joya then realized who it was by his tan skin and muscled back. I t was Lincoln/Linc her brother’s best friend she had raging lust for this man for a long time Yet she thought she showed the world she could care less about her brother’s friend Linc. Joya still had her bra and underwear on but couldn’t remember if anything had happened. She was also in Linc’s suite and she hurriedly left to go back to her own room. Linc then opened his eyes once Joya had left. Linc wasn’t surprised Joya had left but he had hoped that they would have finished what they had started last night. Joya had been too drunk and Linc would not take advantage of her. But Linc would never just think of Joya as Kyle's little sister ever again or almost like just one of the guys as last night Joya had become a beautiful woman to Linc. Linc had almost got to the point of no return but had had somehow managed to stop. Linc had started to think about a future as an adult not just a bachelor. Linc had even sold his bachelor condo and was staying at Kyle’s until he found a house to buy. Also staying at Kyle's he could stay away from the enticing Joya or so Linc thought. But Joya was also staying at the house to take care of her friend and sister in law’s four foot lizard that Rory had been raising and taking care of since Rory was ten. Maybe Linc and Joya wouldn’t see much of each other…. I absolutely adored this story. It was a fast and just sweet read also a romantic love story. I loved how Joya thought no one knew how she had crushed on Linc for a long time but others did see it. I also liked the fact Linc was already thinking of settling down before he ever slept with Joya and started to care. I also loved how Rory had meddled in her friends lives and decided to set them up into couples and it eventually worked for the couples including Linc and Joya. i loved the characters and the ins and outs of this story and I highly recommend.

Properly Groomed Was a light quick read.A love story Between Joya and her brother best friend Lincoln. I like it that it easy with interesting plot and interesting characters with some steamy scenes. Both Joya and Linc are likable and easy to love. Their love story begins at Joya’s brother wedding and ends with them living together for two weeks. Two very hot weeks. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly

One of the things I love about series like these is you don't have to read the previous books. Each one can be read as a stand alone. I honestly love stories where you crush on your sibling's friend. It adds a forbidden element because you're pretty sure your sibling isn't going to react well to the fact that you like their friend. My one pet peeve is that the friend doesn't notice you until you've grown up, while you've been pining over them for years. Linc and Joya are freaking awesome when they're forced to stay in the same place while Joya's brother and wife are on their honeymoon. I love that Linc teases her, and she teases back some of the time. Mostly she's just kind of freaked out that Linc is showing an interest in her. Both of them have careers that could potentially decrease the time they can see each other. The sex scenes are HOT! I love the chemistry between the two and the emotion even when they kind of try to deny that there are feelings involved. Overall, I enjoyed this story. The opening chapter is awesome and makes you want to turn the page to find out how they are going to get over the awkward. It's a quick read and can easily be read in a few hours.

Received an ARC for voluntary review for netgalley. It was a really cute story. Lincoln and Joya were perfect for each other, the chemistry was great. Joya has always had a crush on Lincoln, her brothers best friend, but he was a commitment Phobe. Until Joya that he, he simply could not get her out of his mind. While both of them were house sitting, they fell in love, or he did, she always loved him. It was nice to read about them giving each other a chance and ending up together.

Joya Bennett woke up on the wrong side—of someone else’s bed. To make matters worse, it wasn’t even her own bed. Her brother’s wedding led to excessive partying and an entanglement with his best friend, on whom she has endured a long-standing crush. Lincoln Fisher is a confirmed bachelor, enduring his lust for his best friend’s little sister at a distance. Waking up the morning after his friend’s wedding in bed with the little sister is bad enough. But now, he’s staying at his friend’s house while the wedded couple are on their honeymoon—along with Joya. Lust plus difficult working hours leads to an array of impossible problems. This is the first book I’ve read by this author, but won’t be the last. I thoroughly enjoyed her writing style, pace, and knack for snarky dialogue/situations made this a thoroughly enjoyable read. I found the primary characters engaging and the romance tastefully hot. The plot flowed flawlessly while the author unfolded the trials little by little and in a way that kept my attention. Five stars for a book well-written and a job well done.

Three and a half stars. Joya Bennett wakes up after her brother’s wedding, lying next to Lincoln Fisher, the best man and her brother's best friend. She has had a crush on him for ages but now she's blown all that. As she sneaks away doing the walk of shame she plans to avoid Linc for as long as humanly possible - only to discover that the two of them will be sharing her brother's house for two weeks: she is babysitting her sister-in-law's iguana, Dash, and he is temporarily homeless while looking for a new house. Despite the embarrassing circumstances, Joya and Linc find themselves settling into a strange sort of domesticity - but can it last past the two weeks? Is Linc able to commit to a relationship? Will Joya's potential new job make their relationship impossible? What will Joya's brother think about this hook-up? Can a restaurateur ever be in a relationship with a woman who's culinary expertise ends at PB&J sandwiches? This was fun. Low on angst and easy to read. I received a free copy of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

when joya bennett wakes up next to lincoln fisher the morning after her brother's wedding in properly groomed, she panics and runs away hoping that he'll awaken none the wiser to her absence. she doesn't expect to see him again. but she's wrong about that, and wrong about him forgetting. a few short hours later, they've both temporarily moved into her brother's home, and staying away from the man who she has pined for is going to prove impossible. especially since he's decided that he's done enough pining himself and the time for seeing where things can go between them is now. joya and lincoln both have jobs that force them to keep off hours. she's the producer for the local morning show and he runs a restaurant. at first it seems like their hours will keep them apart, but they start to spend their days together in ways that feel so right. so when joya is offered the opportunity to do the evening news, a promotion that will change up her hours to a more normal 9 to 5 kind of day, it feels like a huge stumbling block in their relationship. playing house the way they are gives them the chance to see what a relationship between them will look like before they admit the truth to the world, as well as joya's protective older brother. joya and lincoln have a ton of chemistry and the time they spend together, especially given how domestic it all is, allows them to see the upside to a committed future. it lets us see how their relationship deepens and grows in a way that's really nice. i really enjoyed this one. **properly groomed will publish on january 9, 2017. i received an advance reader copy courtesy of netgalley/entangled publishing (lovestruck) in exchange for my honest review.

Forbidden love. Best friend and his best friend's little sister. What's not to love? Waking up on the wrong side of your brother's best friend's bed could prove to be the best thing to ever happen or the worst. The story starts off with a bang, and leaves you wondering what is become of the situation Joya found herself in. Properly Groomed was such a cute story! I loved the witty banter between Joya and Linc. Rate 4Their chemistry was smoking hot and steamy! It's well-written and always kept me hanging onto every word they said. This is my first book by Boone Brux and it won't be the last! Her writing captivates you. Before you know, you've read the whole book in one sitting!

Interested in a light-hearted romance with characters you quickly care about who behave like mature people not riddled with angst or emotional tantrums and respond to situations rationally? This, me dears, is that book. Well written and plotted, Properly Groomed was a pleasure to read. I liked both Joya and Linc whose chemistry made the book sizzle. Plus, I am always a fan of romances where the woman or man’s long-lived crush comes to fruition. Add in an iguana (yes, this is the very first time I’ve read a book with a pet iguana and that in itself was interesting!) and a lovable rescue dog and for this reader the deal was sealed. Like the unique pet iguana, I was intrigued by Joya’s job as a local news producer as that isn’t an occupation one comes across too often in romance novels. You could easily describe this as a story about two people who have known each other for years playing house and finding that while they have passion, they also have companionship, which can never be overrated. It can easily overcome the objections of a highly protective big brother. While it’s the third book in a series, it was perfect as a standalone novel, unlike many which claim to be. This one didn’t fling a bunch of previous characters at you and expect you to love them unconditionally. It did, however, make me want to read the previous two books, which I hope are just as good as this one. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely loved this story! This is book 3 in the Wedding Favors Series, but I read it as a standalone and didn't feel like i was missing anything by doing so. Joya Bennett wakes up to her crush and brothers best friend in bed the morning after her brothers wedding. She can't remember if she actually had sex with him, due to being drunk the night before. Lincoln Fisher isn't a relationship type of guy, although lately he's starting to want to change that. If their was anyone to do that with, Joya would be her. Only problem is Joya is his best friends baby sister. Joya and Linc get stuck watching her brothers house while he's on his honeymoon. Throw in a crazy dog and needy reptile, some steamy heat, teasing, and you have yourself a raging fire. I 100 percent recommend this awesome read! ****I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy.**** Laura Redmon  Cutting Muse Blog Review

Properly Groomed by Boone Brux is a cute and sweet brother's friend to lovers romance. This is Joya Bennett and Lincoln "Linc" Fisher's story. Joya has had a crush on Linc for a long time. Linc is her brother's best friend who doesn't do relationships. Linc is attracted to Joya but her brother has warned him that she is off-limits. Things worked to where they both end up staying in the same house for two weeks? Will they be able to ignore the chemistry between? This is a cute, sweet, and steamy brother's friend to lovers romance. FYI, includes mature content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

3 stars! I love a friends turned romance novel. I really love when it is brother's best friend and brother's little sister. This type of book is my favorite type. So Properly Groomed was my idea of a fun and quick read. Joya has always had a thing for Linc. So, when she gets drunk and ends up in bed with Linc, things start to look up for her. Things really heat up with Linc and Joya end up both staying at her brother's place for 2 weeks. Both have a reason to stay there, but not for the reason's you would think. What could happen in 2 weeks ?? Linc is the typical bad boy who never wants to settle down and Joya is so in love with him, she sees this as a perfect opportunity to make something happen. This was a sweet story. No real drama or excitement. Just a cute little story about 2 people who were destined to be together.

This was a cute novella about Joya and her brothers best friend, Linc. They've resisted their attraction for years but when they are thrown together for two weeks in the same house, all bets are off. It you want something light, fun and a bit of spice to read, this fits the bill. ARC provided by NetGalley.

Boone Brux went with the obvious approach. Properly Groomed is a theme every romance reader is familiar with, but still can't get enough of. The exotic animal and the unusual dog were a nice touch. Comfort, laughter and happily every after are all there for me to enjoy in Ms. Brux's stories.
