Sam "Mozart" Reed's life changed the day his little sister was found abused and murdered when he was fifteen. He's spent his entire life looking for the serial killer who took his sister from him and ruined his family. Using his connections, and SEAL training, Mozart believes he's finally tracked the killer to the town of Big Bear, California.

Summer Pack is working in a crappy motel up at Big Bear Lake until she can find something better, more meaningful, more real. Living in an unhealthy situation, she meets a man who is everything she's ever dreamed about and who helps her see that there are some people in the world who will actually do what they say they will.

But somewhere in Big Bear a killer is waiting to strike again. Watching for the perfect victim.

**Protecting Summer is the 4th book in the SEAL of Protection Series. It can be read as a stand-alone, but it's recommended you read the books in order to get maximum enjoyment out of the series.

Enjoyed this book very much. The romance between Summer and Mozart was very sweet. Who wouldn't want a very "hot" guy like Mozart taking care of you. I am glad that I read the books in sequence since it made it easier to understand the other characters.

Another Great Summer's husband said she was boring and divorced her after 10 years and then there were cutbacks and she lost her job. She made it to Big Bear and got a job in housekeeping in a run down motel. Mozart was looking for the man who raped and murdered his little sister when he was younger. He was traced to Big Bear. They met and she stood up for him not knowing he was a SEAL.

This story contains characters who were not perfect. In other words, they could be real people. Loved the action. Loved the relationships. The story was very entertaining.

Summer was more. She was mature, sweet, tired and taken what life threw her way. She finds herself divorced, unemployed, homeless, and in a new state with few options and thinner than she has ever been in her life. She finds a job, something resembling shelter, something to carry her though the day, friends, and a reason to move forward. Sam/Mozart loses his younger sister at a very young age. He vows to find and kill the man that did this to his sister. For years this becomes the reason why he does everything in life. Then he finds her while tracking the man that took his sister from him. He never knew just how close he was to the one that could take her away from him also. The connection that Mozart and Summer makes over one weekend because the things that keeps her going. Then Mozart remembers the promise he made and how bad he has been feeling disconnected from his friends in a surreal way. He knows its because of the connection he made with Summer. Off he goes to make that connection again. Never know he was leading his enemy straight to her door. Action, intensity, desperation, friendships, respect, hope, second chance . . . a real adult romance that grows. Stella Bloom gives us a performance with her diction and individual style given to each characters.
