I am a huge fan of the show and this book did not disappoint in the least. You can certainly tell that the author is also a writer for the show. He has the characters down perfectly. This book is written from Gus' perspective which was interesting. It gives you a little more insight into his character and also delves into the relationship between Shawn and his Father a little more deeply. It's a thrilling murder mystery with may interesting characters that could be the culprit, and what is a good murder mystery without a mime? I read a lot of mystery novels and this one kept me guessing. I recommend this book if you are looking for a fun, weekend escape.

I simply love Psych. The tv show is the best...off-beat, funny, the characters are real to life...they are absolutely believable and true to life.....and did i mention funny?! The plot line is so different than your average typical tv show. The mystery that is to be solved is usually quite complex ..there are times i have absolutely no idea who the guilty party is or how shawn saw all the signs and put it all together. Shawn has such a dry sense of humor...i love how he always gets under lassie's skin with his little quips and digs. Gus is such a perfect sidekick for Shawn...they balance each other perfectly. The plot line of the book will keep you hooked until the very end

This book started out great - true to Psych form, but i was a little disappointed with the ending. It seemed too quickly put together. Overall it was a good read. I will purchase other Psych stories.

I love the Psych TV show. I have read one other Psych book, A Mind is a Terrible Thing to Read. While no work of great literature. I did enjoy it - just like the show. I was a little disappointed in this book though. The story was weak and I did not find it interesting. I am also upset with the amount of formatting errors in this book. Parts of sentences were duplicated in the middle of the next sentence and words were hyphenated in places where they shouldn't have been. I found this distracting. I would possibly expect this type of sloppiness from a free eBook, but I paid full price for this download. I'm hesitant to purchase another book in these series. I'm an avid reader and unfortunately, right now, my "book money" is limited due to economic reasons (which many of us are facing). Since the publishers don't have an issue with charging such high prices for eBooks, they should at least put some more effort into the editing and proofing of said books. Editorial aside, I would not recommend this particular book.

This is a wonderful, well written series that perfectly preserves the essence of Psych as it follows the adventures of Shawn and Gus. It is so true to the television series that reading it is like seeing an episode in your head.

Ridiculously charming, just like the show. I want more of these tie-ins.

I completely see why people say this is their least favourite of the Psych tie-in novels. The plot was completely unbelievable and would not have translated to screen without the use of CGI or "secret twin brothers". The wrap-up didn't seem to fit the premise of the mystery and Shawn, once again, was acting more Hercule Poirot than (fake) psychic.

I felt this story became confusing as he "wrapped it all up". Too many different characters for me I guess. I still enjoyed it, just felt it was a bit confusing. If it were televised I am sure it woudln't have been an issue.

This is the second series in the books of Psych, based on the popular tv show. I had my doubts about this book because the first one wasn't that great. That being said, I really enjoyed Mind over Magic. This has all the charm, warmth, and humor from the show. Honestly, it was as if I was watching the show, it was that good. At some points, I was laughing out loud reading it and read some parts a few times. Shawn and Gus have to go undercover with a group of very good Magicians to solve a murder. Shawn has to use all of his "Psych skills" to solve it, and let me tell you my friends, this one isn't easy for Shawn. I don't want to say to much about it, but I explained the main plot. The usual cast of characters are there. and add to much to the story. If you haven't read the first book, don't worry, you don't need to. Just pick up Mind Over Magic and enjoy Shawn and his friends. If you're a fan of the show, then you won't be sorry you read Mind Over Magic.

Shawn and Gus are hired to find a magician that disappeared during his magic trick and figure out who the dead guy was who appeared in the magic tank in his place. The series characters were spot on and the plot was the zany fun you'd expect from this franchise.

At first, when I heard of Psych, I thought,"That sounds like a really idiotic show!" Then, when school let out, and I stayed at my mom's work, I started looking up tv shows on youtube just to pass the time. I came across Psych and thought, oh what the heck, i'll watch it!!! Ever since i started watching Psych, i have absolutely been hooked on it(or obsessed, but thats such an accusing term). I LOVE PSYCH

In between the line's theres a lot of obscurity. I'm not inclined to resign to maturity. If its alright, then your all wrong, so why bounce around to the same down song. You rather run when you can't crawl. I KNOW YOU KNOW That im not telling the truth I KNOW YOU KNOW They just don't have any proof Embrace deception, learn how to bend or your worst inner visons gonna PSYCH you out in the end
