I have this recording and all things considered I really like it. Leontyne Price has a huskier timbre than she did in her firt TOSCA wth Di Stefano and addei, and perhaps this performance is noit quite as good because of the 10 or so year difference in age, but is still highly listenable. Placido Domingo is excellent as Mario Cavaradossi. He does justice as the lover, painter and revolutionary. His rendering of "Ricondita Armonia" and "E Lucevan le Stelle" are BEAUTIFUL. Sherril Milnes has an excellent voice for Scarpia, but comes across as quite the bully -- especially in the Act 2 torture scene. I do enjoy how he uses the "slime" to persue Tosca, but he lacks the finesse that Giuseppe Taddei had in Price's earlier TOSCA. This is all-in-all a good performance, the chorus, orchestra and ambiance are all very good. Well worth purchasing.
