J5 is tight. They got the chilling rhymes and beats (The type that cats dance to). I display my critizism of their verbal essence on the tracks. They are commercial peeps. Mostly you hear negative and nonsense of no meaning with tons of hooks. They're a positive clique trying to bring the message to people and divert their hip hop perspective to the ill direction. It's kinda rare seeing this in the commercial world. I mostly dwell in the underground scene but this is a mos def copping album.

This is a good record. With the exception of a couple of slip ups, it moves right along very smoothly. Their style is similar to Dilated Peoples, but I would compare them more to someone like Pharcyde. Jurassic 5 is one of the many groups that are bringing back underground L.A. hip hop. Best track= ''Great Expectations'':also,''Contribution'' and ''Quality Control'' are dope as hell!

There hasn't been a hip-hop group like this come along in a very long time. If you want to listen to the definition of true, fresh, and underground hip-hop, this is definitely the album to buy. The rhymes and the music are the best collaboration of skills that have hit us in the last 5 years. Every song on this album will please. The beats are very upbeat, and the jazzy tones fit the flow. I recommend all real hip-hop fans to check it out, I would hope that most of ya'll already know!

If Charlie Tuna's fat bass voice, and Cut Chemist's ridackulous cut feats don't get you movin' on any occassion then that booty must be dead. I've been listening to J5 since their first EP at BBQ's, raves, and driving and they are literally the purest of the pure when it comes to hip hop. You'd be silly not to hop on the bandwagon with j5.

I'm a big skateboarder and this music is a great compilation while you skateboard, the music will always go with whatever street course your doing especially songs like Influence and Quality Control. are you ready to get into your time capsule?

Jurassic 5 is old school meeting new. I found out about them when I was looking for a good kazoo song (I'm serious) and I found their song'Concrete Schoolyard (Kazoo mix)' which is from their debut album. I expected any song with a kazoo too be really stupid but that song was so phat. This group really knows rhythm and has all the right beats.

This album takes off where EP left off... Hits with the J5 that we have all become accustomed to- vocal harmonizing, old skool vibing, excellent beats from Cut Chemist and NuMark
