From the '50s on the theme of quality has grown exponentially in every part of the globe, resulting in numerous theories, frameworks and tools. Due to the size of the topic wanting to enclose everything in a single volume seems somewhat pretentious. The more general texts are often hardly accessible. On the other hand the more specific ones generally give access to a few tools resulting in themselves not very useful.
