About the Author

Nathan Elberg has an M.A. in Anthropology, and is currently doing a Doctorate in the Science of Religion. He’s lived in the northern wilderness with Indians and Inuit, including stints working for Native American organizations. He’s been given Indigenous and Inuit names, and had the honour of being called a “damned savage” in a northern mining town. He’s studied folklore, warfare, cannibalism, shamanism, Kabbalah, primitive art and communications among other things. As Chairman of the International Board of Directors of the Canadian Institute for Jewish Research he co-edited a special publication on the relation between Native Americans, Jews and Israel, including contributions by Comanche, Metis, Lakota, and Inuit authors.

Elberg spent many years as a commercial real-estate broker, helping multi-millionaires haggle over nickels, helping create housing for the poor. He’s published short stories, op-eds and essays in a variety of online and print journals. Married, with children and grandchildren, he’s active in communal organizations, and is a member of the Canadian Fantasy and Science Fiction Association.
