This book had my 8 year old daughter totally entranced!! There is no better feeling as a mom (and a school teacher) to see my 8 year old love a book and want to read it cover to cover in just a few settings. THEN- Netflix has the video, so she was so excited to see it in movie form. THEN!!! We bought her the Lego set and she got to do her own role playing based on the amazing work Stacia Deutsch wrote. An all-around win for this mom!!

This Christmas, my children were given 4 of the Lego Elves sets and spent hours creating and playing with the sets. They were so content that I started to search for other ways for them to enjoy the Lego Elves brand. When I found this book, I was skeptical. Sometimes books based off of movies or toys leave a little to be desired. However, after reading this together, I was incredibly impressed. Well written, good character development, and exciting plot. I recommend this book to anyone with young children who love a good story. Even my 4 year old sat through it with the older children!

My 6 year old daughter loved this book! She is a very advanced reader and has just started on chapter books, but we chose to read this book together since it a little above her reading level. To my surprise, I enjoyed it as much as she did! Each chapter moves pretty fast and has plenty of adventure in a short time, so it makes a perfect book to read one chapter each night. We both enjoyed the story line and I ended up buying several Lego Elves sets to continue the fun. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading Book #2.
