Overview

Where do members of Delta Force, SEAL Teams, and the CIA go when they retire?

Matthew "Doc" Pearson is a fifth-generation Florida native who, except for 126 months and three days of service to his country, has lived and worked as a Florida cow hunter. It was while serving in a clandestine military unit that he learned the kinds of skills that he hoped to never need again. Today, Doc is content just riding for his brand, the Sunset Ranch, in Central Florida.
Yet, when someone close to him goes missing, Doc teams up with his most trusted friend, an equally accomplished soldier, and against his better judgment, the ex-wife who shot him in the shoulder during the divorce. Decisive, quick, and deadly, the team is joined by other operatives who, although retired from official service, still maintain their special skills and life-long commitment to their unit and to one another. Together they are a highly trained tactical team that is unhampered by the restrictions of the Posse Comitatus, the rules of war or the legal restrictions and policies that otherwise hamper official channels... unless they get caught.
