"The purpose of retreat," writes Jane Rubietta, "is not to check off a list of Scriptures read, quotes studied, or prayers said. It is an escape into the calm arms of God." Quiet Places leads you into that meaningful time with Godwhether your retreat to solitude is twenty minutes while the kids are tucked in bed or a day or two of personal getaway.
Each chapter of Quiet Places offers thought-provoking, spirit-prodding inspiration, weaving together practical outlines and principles to help you find God in the midst of all that a busy woman faces daily. Quiet Places provides teaching and encouragement for groups as well as individuals.

Quiet Places was born out of my own frustration with the chronic chaos of life. I had to go outside the church to find hope and healing; yet when I returned to church, I found that others were struggling with busyness, boundaries, self-esteem, friendships, etc. Quiet Places: A Woman's Guide to Personal Retreat came into existence when women's groups asked me about one of my 'thrival tools', a personal retreat, and 'couldn't you write a guide for us?' So, this book is for all of us! ALSO: accompaniment CD available, one song with dynamic original music, for each chapter, to better apply the learning. Order info in back of book.
We are using this book in our Stay at Home Moms scripture share group. It is not at all what the title leads you to believe, it is about women and sharing and the Love the Lord has for us. Spirit lead.
