Editorial Reviews

School Library Journal - School Library Journal
In the last 20 years there has been a quilting revival in America, spawning examination of our quilting heritage. Zegart, herself involved in this revival, adds to the growing number of regional studies by summarizing the differences in regional patterns and textiles. The writing in this good first effort is concise and interesting, and beautiful photos adorn every page. Unfortunately, the photos are poorly labeled and do not coordinate with the text. Another drawback is the lack of an index. Cheerful, colorful, and inexpensive, this is recommended as a good supplement to public library collections. If your library owns regional or state quilt histories, however, this book is not necessary.-Karen Ellis, Baldwin Boettcher Lib., Humble, Tex.
