Another awesome book in the Immortal Series! Quintus & Gabriel's chemistry was off the charts Hot & Sexy! With some added surprises that had me gasping for my breathe. This can be read as a standalone. Previous characters in the series make some memorable appearances which I thoroughly enjoyed. This book was well worth the wait. Author Kym Grosso gave us another delicious Vampire to love.

Quintus is an ancient Vampire who has been attacked, poisoned and left for dead. Gabriella is the hybrid who has been running from danger most of her life and saves Quintus’ life, hoping that in return he is able save hers. This is action packed and undoubtedly erotic tale is a paranormal romance lovers dream come true! I read a lot of this Genre. (In fact, without making the connections immediately, I realised that I am, by coincidence, listening to book one in the Immortals of New Orleans series ) As one of my favourite genres, I have read a lot of Paranormal romance. I feel that this story has all of the components that make a paranormal romance great! This steps into the more erotic side of the genre. Well written with a good structure and pace this is a great addition to the series. I liked the paranormal thriller and tension aspects and the romance aspects and feel that Kym Grosso does a great job of merging the two. Thanks to Kym Grosso and Social Butterfly PR for granting me an ARC copy of Quintus. This is my honest review.

Oh man, it has been a long time since I’ve read from this series and decided to jump back in it with Quintus’s book. I generally don’t read a lot of erotica, but Kym Grosso manages to write this genre so well where it doesn’t seem like there steamy scenes on every single page. Of course, those scenes were absolutely hot, but I really enjoyed Quintus and Gabriella’s story. Since it has been so long it was like I just jumped into this series for the first time, so there were a lot of new to me characters, definitely ones that I want to go back and read about. I’m sure that would have enhanced my reading a bit more, but this was totally fine to read as a standalone. Their relationship was so fascinating and different than other PNR couples I’ve read about especially when it comes to shifters. In this case we have a vampire and witch/wolf-shifter, talk about unique in every way. Definitely, the first time coming across a couple like these two. I found their relationship so interesting and was even more captivated by their instant bond and well that they were mates! An unlikely pair that worked so perfectly. Quintus quickly became so protective of Gabriella and wanted nothing more than to keep her safe. Which was hard for Gabriella to accept since she’s been on the run for way too long; running is what she knows. And she manages to give the slip to the almighty and powerful, Quintus. Quite hilarious if you ask me! My heart broke for Gabriella and everything she has had to endure since she was a teenager. She has been on the run since 13 and running into Quintus (and saving him) was the best thing that could have happened to her. In desperate need of help, which Quintus gave unwillingly, there was the instant chemistry that neither one of them could deny. I loved how fast pace their story was and found myself nearly reading the whole thing in one sitting. And Quintus is probably the most interesting vampire I’ve ever read about. He misses parts of his human life, so I loved his need for food even if he didn’t need it to survive. These two couldn’t be more perfect for each other. Grosso does an amazing job keeping us captivated with her writing! I definitely can’t wait for the next one to come out, that’ll definitely be a great one to read about!

4.25 stars--QUINTUS is the ninth instalment in Kym Grosso’s contemporary, adult IMMORTALS OF NEW ORLEANS erotic, paranormal, romance series. This is ancient vampire Quintus Tulllius, and witch/ hybrid Gabriella Savoie’s story line. QUINTUS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. NOTE: QUINTUS contains scenes of M/F/M sexual situations, and may not be suitable for all readers. Told from dual third person perspectives (Quintus and Gabriella) QUINTUS follows the building relationship between ancient vampire Quintus Tullius, and witch/ hybrid Gabriella Savoie. Quintus Tullius found himself the victim of a demon attack. Imprisoned and weakened by poison, Quintus would be rescued by a stranger; a witch of unknown powers but a woman that calls to the vampire’s heart. Enter Gabriella Savoie, witch and hybrid supernatural on the run, and the woman with whom Quintus would fall in love. What ensues is the building romance between Quintus and Gabriella, and the potential fall-out as Gabriella is targeted for who and what she is. Quintus Tullius is an ancient vampire; well respected in the world of the supernatural but someone is hoping to take down the powerful vampire. Believing he had lost the only woman that called to his heart, Quintus is surprised when his would-be rescuer stirs something within. Gabriella Savoie doesn’t have time for relationships especially a relationship involving a man who could destroy her life. On the run since the death of her mother, Gabriella knows revealing her true identity could very well get her killed. The relationship between Gabriella and Quintus is one of immediate attraction but there is something about Gabby’s blood that calls to the world of the supernatural including a family heritage that threatens the people in charge. Quintus is desperate to protect the woman that calls to his heart but our heroine is determined to go on-alone. The sex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense with some M/F/M sexual situations. There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and animated secondary and supporting character including Quintus’ brother Viktor; and alpha wolf shifter Hunter Livingston, as well as the return of a number of previous story line characters. The requisite evil has many faces targeting both Quintus and Gabriella –together. QUINTUS is a story of family, betrayal, vengeance, power and love. The action-packed, premise is entertaining and enthralling; the characters are colorful, charismatic and energetic; the romance is spell-binding and passionate. QUINTUS is a spirited, animated and provocative story of fated mates and enchanting powers

Fans of this series have been waiting a long time for this book and it is SOOO worth the wait!!! This is my absolute favorite PNR series, so I was really glad to finally get to read Quintus' book. He is an ancient Vampire, one of the oldest and most reclusive. After a run-in with a particularly nasty vampire he barely makes it back to New Orleans alive. When Gabriella saves his life, neither one of them expect what comes next. I really liked Gabby. She is scared out her mind at times, but still strong enough to stand up to one the oldest vampire alive, as well as an Alpha. Even though she's been on the run most of her life she is still compassionate and caring. And she is just what Quintus needs in his life. Someone to stir things up a little. Get ready to visit some interesting places in this book, and meet some very interesting characters.

Kym Grosso’s Immortals of New Orleans series resumes with Quintus. While each book technically can be read as a standalone, there are cross-over characters and references to prior books. I’ve been intrigued by mentions of the powerful and ancient vampire, Quintus Tullius, in previous books in the series. His story does not disappoint! In book nine of the series, readers follow along a dangerous path with Quintus (vampire), Hunter (shifter), and Gabriella (witch-shifter hybrid). Gabriella is a delightful new character who saves Quintus with the ultimate goal of garnering his assistance in a pesky matter. That pesky matter happens to be one of the most powerful witches on the east coast. Demons, Fae, and Jiangshi are enlisted by one side or the other in their battle. Ms. Grosso continues to develop engaging characters that paranormal readers can love or loathe. In Quintus, the plot is strong and the perfect pace allows for tension to mount as the story reaches its crescendo. The denouement is bittersweet, and as usual, the author’s epilogue contains a delicious segue to the next story in her series.
