Overview

What I remember the most about that day was that it was completely ordinary. Then with one stupid decision everything fell apart and nothing was ever the same.

Rae Wilder wants nothing but a do over-but life doesn't work that way. She's stuck living out the consequences of her actions. At times the burden feels unbearable.
College is supposed to be her second chance.
New place.
New people.
New life.
No one to know what she did.
Despite that, she has still vowed to avoid everyone and everything at all costs.
Unfortunately for her, an accidental run-in with the campus heartthrob, Cade Montgomery, derails that plan.
He's determined to thaw the ice around her heart and expose the girl she used to be. He wants to show her that life is worth living for and that she really is a Rae of Sunshine.

4 STARS!! ****I was given this in exchange for an honest review on raesrockinreviews.blogspot.com**** Micalea Smeltzer spins a sweet tale of college students coming into their own-- Rae has suffered a terrible loss, and after running into a brother and sister duo that are more tenacious and infectiously charming than anyone else she has ever met, learns how to live again. I found the writing to be smooth and the story is cohesive, allowing yourself to truly KNOW what is going on from each of the characters and grow with Rae in her journey from self-loathing to that of a normal college freshman. Allowing people in and to be the person that she wants to be, and remembering that if you allow yourself to lean on someone, they in turn, will lean on you. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who loves some YA/College, and looks for an emotional depth that can be thought provoking x

Frustrating at times but good

Loved where this book ended but the first 5 chapters were repeated phrases hinting at the "big tragic past" from Rae's point of view. Instead of being subtle, it was repeated over and over. I get it! She has a tragic past... but hint at it, don't repeat it in the characters head every other paragraph.

I loved this book. The story is sweet, romantic, sad, and funny. Rae is a girl dealing with a heart breaking accident that cost her a lot. Cade is a gorgeous guy living a life he doesn't want just to make his father happy. The chemisyry hetween them is so wonderful. At first they seem like complete opposits with demons they fight all alone. When they both decide to start letting their guard down they finally realize that some things are meant to be. I highly tecommend this book to everyone.
