Rage by Linda Burson is the first book in her new Marcy Series, and it completely blew me away. This series centers, so far, around Marcy and her nightmares. These nightmares have gotten so bad that they are beginning to unravel her life. Things have gotten so bad that her boyfriend has said its either help or me, which made me really not like him from the get go. Getting mugged may have been the best thing that could have happened to Marcy as it changed the entire direction of her life. That same night she met Liam, who is out for revenge and is willing to take Marcy along for the ride. Love, heartache, and pain all ensue in this book in the perfect mix of romance and suspense. This is the first book by Burson that I have had the pleasure to read, and I am so happy that I picked this book up. I can’t wait until the second book comes out so I can follow these characters again. I was captivated with this book from page one to the last word. While the dialogue between the characters was a bit more formal than I would expect in these situations, it worked well with the writing style and while this book was rather long it flew by for me. There is a bit of a cliff hanger, so I am trying to wait patiently for book 2 and it can’t get here soon enough.

Rage (The Marcy series Book 1) by Linda Burson is a suspenseful romance story. I enjoy this author's stories, her writing is easy flowing and creative. This story was a little slow starting but once I picked up on the character then it was easy flowing after that. This story centers itself around all aspects of the main characters life. This story will show you that even though we are free to make choices as we want, there is always consequences for those choices. This is the story of Marcy and her life. Marcy finds herself in a situation where she is angry, frustrated and faced with a choice. She is having nightmares that is causing her grief so she either needs to get help or she will lose her love. Will one night change everything for her? This is where the suspense starts and the twists and turns will leave you sitting on the edge of your seat just waiting to see what will happen next with Marcy. What will happen when she falls for another man? Will jealousy rear its ugly head? What will happen when Marcy goes on a journey of finding herself? Her story is one of betrayal and vengeance, once I got past the first few chapters, I couldn't put her story down. All the characters in this book seem to be intertwined with each other. I didn't care for some of the characters and how they treated Marcy but they are necessary to make the story flow. I highly recommend this story, I know you will want to see how Marcy finds herself. I can't wait for the second book to see what happens next.

This book grabbed me from the first page...and that's not easy to do for a reader like myself. I was curious from the start, wondering what in the world is going on with the main character Marcy. Linda Burson does a phenomenal job at conveying the emotion of all characters portrayed, but mainly the love between Marcy and her main love interest Bradley, who I absolutely adored even when he was making even me upset. I don't want to give too much away, but let me just say this, I didn't see Liam coming or what he brings to the book. I'm ready to read the second one now. I just want to know what happens!

Given the SELFISH option of either seeking professional help for her repeated haunting nightmares, or be carelessly abandoned by her lover; Marcy is torn between what to do. This thrilling, action-packed romance, has just the right amount of mystery to keep you guessing time, and time again. Action peaks within the books pages when Marcy is held up by gunpoint and is forced to unleash her true nature. This tale of lover's conflicting jealousy, and a woman's struggle to dampen her emotions will leave you reeling for more! Marcy, unknowingly finds herself with a potential love interest- Liam and decides to aid in the plight to find his families murderer. Through all of the negativity surrounding the new couple, the pair are able to eventually find love. Meaningful love that Marcy had never experienced before. But, will they be able to maintain a balance to pursue a future together? I really enjoyed this promising story! It was well written, and like many others have stated, I could not put it down! I will definitely be purchasing the next book "Confusion" for my reading pleasure, and recommend that you do too.

Marcy develops unexplainable anger and rage issues that eventually lead to the destruction of her short lived engagement to Brad. She's recruited by Liam, a vigilante trying to find justice for his family. Marcy and Liam fall in love quickly and he provides an outlet for her anger. However, she's still struggling with her feelings for Brad. This story felt disjointed, like two different stories were being told. I did not care for Marcy's selfish attitude and Brad was getting close to stalker status with Marcy. Marcy gets back together with Brad at the end of the story and practically tosses Liam aside except for their nighttime excursions. Finally, Marcy's anger issues are explained with the help of her therapist, literally in the final pages of the story, but much is left unanswered. Hopefully, this is a series and more will be revealed.
