I really got into this book. It was different than other post-apoc books in that it was realistic. No zombies, no pandemic, etc. I couldn't put it down! Now onto the sequel....

Be prepared to buy this entire series, read all the books in this series crazy fast, and still want more! It really is a fantastic read front to back!

I really enjoyed this story. It is very realistic and could really happen. Loved the reference to "alas, Babylon". Every one should read this as it will help if disaster happens. Be sure to read this one first.

This book is ok. Outside of the poor editing it is fairly well written. The story and plot are ok, but the characters do not learn from earlier mistakes and situations. The characters are extremely naive and refuse to understand the potential violence in others and act in an intelligent way to protect themselves. One of the main characters is a former cop who continually forgets to carry his gun or in some cases chooses not to. This book is not very realistic for the plot and story it is telling.

A very enjoyable read. Maybe not as deep as Lights out or Truth's Blood, but good none the less.

It was a good enough story, could use some proper editing. the ending was kind of 'everything fell together in a perfect way in the last couple pages.' Eh.

The story was pretty well thought out, but being easily irritated by spelling and grammar errors I was extremely disappointed in this book. Over 50 in the first few chapters! If that does not bother you, then you might find this story more enjoyable. I've read quite a few "survival fiction" stories and found this one to be interesting, but certainly not compelling.

Lots of typos, wrong words. A bit preachy, many many unresolved story lines. Meh.
