I've read the prequel, all the preceding novels in the series, and the novellas. Every sentence is full of heart pounding action, and occasional humor which nicely rounds out the characters. Once started, l can hardly put the books down. Looking forward to "Omega", the next in the series.

This is the 4th installment in the Chess Team series from Jeremy Robinson with Jack "King" Sigler in the lead. This story was co-written with Kane Gilmour and the pace was elevated from past stories. The storyline developed in the first pages and the action was non-stop right up to the epilogue. The storyline followed both mythical Norse Gods as well as Nazi science developments. The action spans the globe and ends with an epic battle in a remote seaside town in Norway. Well fast pace some of the action seemed a little beyond believable, but then again you can't have the heroes die. Not sure if another installment in this series will be coming but enjoy this author very much.

I recommend reading something else.

While the general storyline for this one is extremely good, some parts are just cheesy to the point of being stupid. I .mean, having 2 girls ighting over the guy? The end with the Asya"surprise"? Really? How lame!!! Robinson WAS my favorite, but no more. I have to wonder if he is running out of ideas or maybe he is writing the books too fast to really let the story gel in his head first. I think this is the best book in the Chess Team stories so far. The team is back together, fighting other worldly creatures to save the world.

This is the first book I've read by J. Robinson and I enjoyed it. The book in not the first in a series, so I didn't relate to the references to past conflicts - and it limited the development of the characters, a little bit. Perhaps if I had read some of the others, I might have given it 5 stars.

I liked the other Jack Sigler books much better but this one was still ok. I really didn't like that the Chess Team is all split up around the world, it's much better when they are together. Also, coming from a female reader, the fight & kill scenes are way too detailed...it gets boring. I'm not giving up yet though, will read the next book in the series...

Another solid Chess team thriller. Although heavy on the action I was a bit dissapointed with the lack of story regarding Jack's new family life. There was very little of girlfriend Sara, new daughter Fiona, or his parents. Considering how the last book ended I was expecting more emphasis on this aspect of his life. Regardless was still a great action thriller.

I so love all your other books, but sorry Jeremy but this book just was not up to your regular standards. Very long and drawn out. Toward the end I started to skip pages to just finsh it.

Jeremy Robinson and Kane Gilmore are a Dream Team of writers! Together they weave a fabulous, fast paced adventure that hits the ground running from the beginning and never stops! I thought Second World was fantastic, but this TOPS it! Definitely needs to be put on you "must-read" list!!

The author has a call sign, too--Stalemate. Emphasis on STALE.
