The illustrations are very beautiful and my little one likes to stare at the colors and chew on it. The only thing I am not fond of is that the story seems to convey that  in order to have friends you need to give away your things. I understand it's suppose to show the positive of sharing but the method was not well received.

I am not very pleased with the condition of the book. It is used, but the description said "Good". This book is not in "Good" condition. It has several stains on it, the printing on it has rubbed off in several places and it has at least 29 punctures/holes in it. It is very badly scuffed as well. I am unable to use this as the holes would create breeding grounds for bacteria and being a babies' book, that is unacceptable.

This book is a perfect example of a good bath book! The story is short and simple enough for little children. The pages are soft vinyl and easy to turn pages for my 18month old. She loves this book. I recommend buying it!!!!!!!

What a great idea. Then with the child in the bath reading became sitting too long in the water while it got cold and the child lost interest. The pictures were beautiful. The book seemed well made and still a very novel idea for a gift.

I have always loved the Rainbow Fish. It teaches you about sharing and is a cute story. It is also a bath book which is great for young children.

This is a great story. My grandson is 7 months and listens intently sometimes and chews on it other times. It teaches a lesson on sharing. The illustrations could be brighter, but it is underwater after all. Great for the bath as well.

I bought this book for my baby at 9 months 'now 16 months', it became an instant favorite, and is still one of the top favs. The pages are very soft - perfect for an infant to hold and turn the pages. It has sustained lots of abuse and is still in great shape. The story is very simplified, and I think my baby is starting to outgrow it. 'Time to upgrade to the board book.'

My two year old has had this book for over a year and puts it in the bathtub each time. It has lasted through water, soap suds, and his tugging at it.

While the Rainbow Fish remains a great story, even in its edited version, the quality of the materials used in making this product is extremely poor. My book, which I purchased strictly for its durability, fell apart within the first 5 minutes of ownership by a gentle reader. There is no way this book could have survived the bathtub.

This book has a socialist/communist adgenda. The story and the moral lesson is not appropriate for the US. We are using the book in the bath but not reading it. It was maddening and a waste of money. The story does not celebrate diversity but portrays it as something negative to be eliminated.
