Rainbow Party is a cautionary tale about a group of teens faced with the prospect of attending a party involving oral sex. The novel spotlights each of their diverse viewpoints in the hours leading up to the party. It explores what each teen has — and has not — been up to sexually, and why. And ultimately, why they would consider going to a party like this in the first place.
This book addresses important and timeless issues relevant to teens, including self-esteem, peer pressure, awareness about STD protection, and making an informed and educated decision about readiness for sexual activity. It was inspired by numerous news reports about the prevalence and attitudes among teens towards certain types of sexual behavior, and is intended to engage readers in this real-life issue in a responsible and constructive fashion.

I read this story a while ago and before I thought about it, I actually thought it was a good book. That was until I wrote a report about it in my notetaking class. Then...well it wasn't so much the greatest book. It has so much s*x in it and it practically talks about giving a guy a bj every other page of the book. It's so perverted that I almost got sick. I couldn't read the book for more than 5 minutes.

I was expecting more from it. I didn't find it that interesting, and the characters are a bit too much. It seemed a bit rushed more towards the end, and slow towards the beginning. It had an alright ending, but overall, I wouldn't recommend it.

i enjoyed the book and the topics brought up in it, and ive recommended it multiple times. i myself read it when i was 15. 2 summers ago. ive always been told i was mature for my age, and the book, although good, really didnt make an effect on me. truthfully, i think the book goes over facts and descions most teens already know about. so yes it is a GOOD book, but i dont think it is very INFORMATIVE, in high school these topics r already brought up, and this party is not a regular thing. Ive only heard of the party on TV about the book, which made me go out and get it. ive had 3 friends already borrow it and like it, but again no impact, it doesnt state nething new.
