Graham Osborne's photographs of the Pacific rain forest suck the words right out of you. No adjective can convey the aching beauty, the awe-inspiring timelessness and the complex biodiversity captured in 70 images by this nature photographer.... Unfortunately the text does not achieve the same high standard. While Davis's attempt to set a context for these photographs is informative and well-written, it could have benefited from a little judicious editing.... Still, this elegantly designed book is a must-have for anyone with a heightened nature aesthetic or a concern for the preservation of a pricelessand rapidly disappearingresource.
