I think writing from Dig's POV was totally unnecessary and a complete waste of time, but if Ms. Porter felt it absolutely necessary to tell Dig's story she should have just written like a novella and made it clear to all readers that it was his POV. Reading the synopsis of this book, nowhere does it say that half the book is coming from dead Dig and his side of Lock & Key which is very misleading. Yes, there are a few new scenes that weren't in book one but still it was pretty much the same. The book pretty much drags during the first half and doesn't pick back up until we're once again reading about Grace and Miller and their troubles. In fact, the second half of the book was quite interesting especially when everything came full circle with Jill. I felt that was all tied together very nicely and appropriately, at least time wise. I hope this book brings the culmination of Grace's story to an end as two books dedicated to her 'struggles' is quite frankly enough for me already. She got her HEA...twice...let's move on.... SR

WOW! That word covers this book. This book gives you a look at Dig's and Grace's relationship through Dig's eyes. There is so much more to the story. Those questions you has after Lock & Key get answered in this book. This book is a emotional read. It will make you and cry. The book flows so smoothly you don't even realise you at the end. The epilogue is so beautifully written if the author didn't cry writing that I would be very surprised. This was just a wonderful story

Beginning with Lock & Key and ending here, this is by far the most beautiful story I've read. I've probably read 200 and have 200 more in my library still waiting, but this is the first review I'm writing. Don't pass it up. What's even more satisfying is that it is complete. Sure, there are other characters that could be spun into more and more books, but this doesn't leave you stranded, waiting for another installment. I loved it.

As the follow-up book to Lock & Key, Random & Rare hooked me from the first page and did not let me go. Days later I am still reflecting on the way this story was crafted. Seeing events from Dig's persective, the development of his relationship with Grace, and the events that led to such tragedy was compelling and an amazing ride. I loved that we got to see more of Grace & Miller's story as well. The events that brought this story to its conclusion will stay with me for a very long time. I highly recommend both Lock & Key and Random & Rare. These are unique stories filled with love, lust, tragedy, redemption, and hope.

From what others have told me, I knew that not having read the previous book in this series would leave me feeling a bit cheated. But my love for books set in the MC world, and those full of angst, had me eagerly turning the first page. By the time I was done I was completely captivated by this emotionally intense read and its theme of the choices we make and the ability to move on from the past. From the unforgettable character of Dig to his forever love Grace to her new love Miller this is a story that puts you through a rainbow of emotions with its unique viewpoint and it now has me wanting to get my hands on the previous book while hoping for another installment in the future. Dig's ending was clear in the previous installment, and in the prologue here, but in this book we dig deeper to see how his actions affected the story then and now. We fall further in love with a man who loved Grace with his whole being. We discover his rough early years that made him the man Grace loved and the reasons behind the choices he made. It's a sensual journey too as he laid claim to Grace through much-needed moments of joy and happiness. Their love was clearly destined to be, but with so many events coming to a head, it was clear that their love would burn out just as brightly. His love for Grace warred with his love for his Brothers and left him pulled in many directions. Ultimately Dig's an admirable man that tried to do right by everyone he cared about and bring happiness to Grace. His ending was an emotional blaze of glory that brought tears to my eyes and left my heart broken. He may be gone but he's definitely not forgotten! Grace returns to helm the latter half of the story and reminds us of how much Dig meant to so many people. She may have moved on but she owes much to the decisions Dig made and he'd be happy to see how she and her family are doing. Though club business and a face from the past are putting a damper on Grace and Miller's happiness, life with Miller is a bit calmer but just as intense. Throughout it all Grace is a lucky woman to have found two such compelling and powerful men to love. I liked Grace for the most part and her final words put a bow on the love story of Dig/Grace/Miller, a story that was gutwrenching but well-worth every tear I shed. I hope this isn't the end though. Yes, Grace and Miller have earned their ride into the sunset but there's the remaining One-Eyed Jacks who I'd love to see more of. They too were affected by Dig's choices and I'd love to see more in-depth how it's affected them throughout the years. From start to finish this story affected me like no other! Its uniqueness caught me off guard, as did the plethora of emotions it engendered, and I can't recommend it highly enough. Just make sure you have a tissue nearby....

4 stars This was not just a MC book but so much more.  It was written in away to explain the workings of the club and also showed you the feelings that a biker could have for his old lady and members of the club.  I was a complete mess the second half of the book.  The sacrifices that Dig and Grace gave to find their piece of happiness.   The book is written in two parts, the past which shows us Dig’s when he first meets Grace and the undeniable love that he felt for her from the very beginning.  Dig tried his best to stay away from her because she was not like him but in the end love has no boundaries and Grace was just as much a part of the MC as Dig.   We get to learn more about Wreck, Miller’s brother and the friendship that he formed with so many.  But he one Wreck had with Dig and Miller was unparallel.  They would do anything for each other. Dig was so much more that just VP of the club.  His heart was bigger than most and cost him.  But the love that he shared with Grace was a once in a lifetime.   The second half of the book shows us where the club is now, how Grace and the others are handling things.  We get to see a chance at second love with Grace and Miller.  This was so emotional for me.  I was a mess at the end of this part.  The love that Dig showed is also seen in this part.  Grace and Miller have a special kind of love.  The characters were amazing, the writing perfect and the story was one that will touch you.
