Raspberry Crush by Jill Winters

Billy Cabot has finally met someone handsome, charming, and interested. A guy she can see a future with. Then her ex, Seth Lannigan, has to screw everything up by walking into the bakery where she works, looking yummier than anything in the display cases.

Now, with her mother pestering her about her career, her divorced sister fuming about men, and her psycho-neighbor giving her the deep-freeze, Billy must also battle her sizzling attraction to Seth-before he breaks her heart again. But in the meantime, it would be harmless to join him in a little murder investigation, wouldn't it?

An otherwise good story was ruined by pages of explict sex which added nothing to the story. I will be deleting this book from my Nook.

My kind of romantic mystery: sweet, sexy and funny. Loved Billy and Seth!! Their passion and love just felt so real, and their sleuthing together had a lot of comical moments, made even better by their natural chemistry. I really hope the author writes a sequel about them or at least mentions them in a future book.

It was okay for .99, but I did not feel it was very well-written. The story was predictable, the writing was very simple, and the sex scene language crude and unimaginative.

I don't know why others gave this book several stars. To me it had little or no plot and was trashy. I'm like most people-I like intrique in books, but this was beyond sex, almost to light porn

This was the first book I'd ever read from Jill Winters. I absolutely loved the story line!! The characters seem so real, including the steamy relationships! I can't wait to get her other books in so I can start reading!!

i didn't think Miss Winters could top herself (since her book Blushing Pink which i loved) but Raspberry Crush blew me away. It doesn't get any better than this! Raspberry Crush is just the ultimate in reading pleasure-a romantic comedy/mystery that generates both laughter and glued-to-the-pages suspense. I thought the mystery part to this story was going to be more of a brief sideline but in fact it was a complex puzzle that kept me guessing. But it didn't overshadow the love story at all because both Billy and Seth were working together...while lusting like crazy for each other. It was so much fun!

I love Jill Winter's books. This one was interesting and I didn't want to put it down. I had to see if Billy and Seth ended up together. An enjoyable read and now, I can't wait for her next book.

The story was bland and also the writing style. Worth 99 cents.

Star crossed lovers return home at roughly the same times. Neither Billy Cabot nor her ex husband Seth is looking to rekindle anything, quite the opposite. Billy is rebuilding her life and finding a new love. All it takes is for Seth to walk into the bakery where she works for old feelings to reignite, though it is the last thing she wants. Her current love is nice and safe, Seth anything but safe. Fate throws them together when Billy is convinced that what appears to be an unfortunate death is murder and Seth becomes her partner in detective work. Partnership expands to new levels, naturally. ................. The mystery does take a back seat to angsty romance, but there is a humorous element and small town charm that will appeal to many.

This author has a very dry wit. It's not going to be lots of crazy laugh out loud roll of your chair sight gags but instead low key very witty observations about everyday annoyances and oddball behaviors. I really loved this story. This is possibly my favorite of the three though I loved Blushing Pink so much too so it's impossible to say. You have to read this if you like mystery, romance, and a very smart funny low key style.

I loved this book!!!! Jill Winters writes a funny, touching, and very sexy read! Billy and Seth are very real characters that you care about and you want to see them together the whole time. You can really FEEL their chemistry and the mystery was also facinating and kept me guessing til the end.

Six months ago, web designer Billy Cabot was downsized because her company Net Circle was trying to avoid bankruptcy. Four months later, she accepts work decorating cakes at Boston¿s Bella Donna Bakery. Currently she is working on the cakes for Churchill, Massachusetts annual jubilee. Churchill has bitter memories as the hometown of Seth Lanigan, who was her boyfriend for a few months four years ago before he accepted a job at Mackind Associates Consultants in Seattle................................. While his mother is in Dublin, Seth is in town for a few weeks fixing up his mom¿s homes so she can sell it. As a favor he goes to Bella Donna Bakery to see how the cakes are coming. He and Billy see each other and he wants to renew what they had. When a newcomer rude fisherman Ted Schneider dies from an allergic reaction, Billy thinks a homicide occurred while everyone else says no way; she investigates with Seth¿s help and gets no where as to the so-called crime, but somewhere with her beloved Seth. However, Billy fears a second time around because her heart has not recovered from the first time he left her behind.................................. . RASPBERRY CRUSH is a sweet contemporary romance with a bit of an amateur sleuth mystery starring two nice protagonists and a fine support cast, mostly those working at the bakery. The story line works because of the chemistry between Billy and Seth who have a second opportunity at fulfilling what was left incomplete if she takes a chance. Billy¿s bungling investigation adds the icing to a delightful contemporary tale................................ Harriet Klausner
