My first by Tim Stevens and I enjoyed it so much I proceeded to read everything else he has written. If you like non stop action in a very enjoyable read you can't miss with this author. John Purkiss is interesting and likeable and a character you want to see a lot more about. The internal affairs connection to British Intelligence is spot on and well thought out. I formed an instant connection with the main characters and hoped to see them in many more sequels. Steven's books draw you in and keep you reading to the last page. Definitely a can't put the book down author. I'm a fan of police procedurals, detectives and espionage. I put Tim Stevens up there with the very best authors of these genres.

Starts out a little slow and you have to really remember the characters, but after 50 pages you are unable to put book down. Well written unexpected twists and turns espionage at its finest. A good read.

I wasn't sure I would enjoy this book at first, as I read so many detective and spy type books. But I wound up really enjoying the characters as they developed. I would read another of Tim's books.

This is about Britian's version of Internal Affairs in the US. There is a plot to disrupt the meeting between the Russian and Estonian presidents that also centers on a person who used to be in Britian's IA, who also caused the protagonist great difficulties.

Wow! I loved all the twists and turns! Kept me guessing until the end. Can't wait to read the other John Purkiss books!

Good read. Too little editing should not deter giving it a try.

Although there are some surprises and there are the bones of a good story, the author mucks it up brilliantly with confusion between characters, conversations, aliases, motives which I suspect he thinks creates 'mystery'.... There are situations in which there is not enough 'belief suspension' in the world to get you through--the car crash/chase through the coastal woods, the battle aboard the helicopter, and the survival of people on the boats that are attacked. I understand that the author has worked hard on creating this 'piece of work'(and piece of work it is), but I advise you to take a chance on reading something else. .

Terribly boring. Hard to believe this was written by the same author who wrote Omega Dog. That is an excellent story.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Reminds me of a Bruce Willis movie. Implausible but fun anyhow.

A little complicated but it has a good plot.

Good story, good characters, but come on, he could really dodge bullets? Ok, I guess if Jack Reacher could stop one with his chest muscles Purkiss could jump out of the way.
