Complex characters, captivating storyline, and intrigue combine in this book, creating a spellbinding world that will invariably lead to loss of sleep and missed deadlines as you immerse yourself in this vibrant and deadly land.

If you like the adventure, violence, romance, and spiritual mysticism of Lord of the Rings, Twilight, the Bible, and Chronicles of Narnia, then you'll love Ravenmarked. This book is a world of many unique cultures, each with their own magic gifts and languages, that can bring peace and harmony to their world if/when they work together. It takes a very smart and clever author to create such a world and all of the unique and captivating characters in her book. The dialogues between characters are witty and the story line is interesting. The depth and detail Amy Davis paints with her writing totally captivated me and made it extremely difficult to put the book down! After reading Ravenmarked, I simply paused in amazement and wondered about all the things going on in the author's head! What a world lives in her mind - So smart, clever, and interesting! I would say this book is for the adult reader, or at least an older teen. I'm not sure I would want my younger teenager reading it. There is violence, sex (although not raw sex), and a fairly complex plot that I believe is for a more mature reading audience. I definitely recommend Ravenmarked as a great read and am anxious to get a hold of the next book in The Taurin Chronicles! I can't wait to have the whole set in my library and relive the world of Taurin anytime my world seems a little dull. There is a ton of adventure, magic, violence, and romance to keep me interested. So come on Amy! Where is book #2? How much longer are you going to make us wait??
