This is a good compilation of stories, poems, fun and games for all ages. I bought a copy for two sets of grandchildren to share in Virginia and a copy to keep at our house. The readers in our family get the most requests for "From Sheep In A Jeep" and "Frog and Toad: Ice Cream." Now, I am buying four more copies- one for my neighbor's grandchildren, one for our newest grandson, one for the family of grandchildren that moved near us, and one to put away as a future gift.

My five year old grandson, Elijah, loves to read this book cover to cover. We don't skip one story. After many readings, his favorite, 'Moris Has a Cold', still keeps him giggling. Elijah has learned from 'Our Earth in Space' about the planets, and can tell you their names and locations. This is a great treasury; it is fun, educational and entertaining!

This is an excellent compilation of emerging readers literature, poems, riddles, etc. It is a great rainy day or road trip companion which captures a child's attention with its humorous stories and jokes and wonderful illustrations. I also like the story 'Our Earth in Space' by Joanna Cole which is educational in a subtle way, and the illustrations by Giulio Maestro are wonderful!
