Rebel Heart by Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland is the nail-biting, angst-ridden, fabulous conclusion to the story of Gia and Rush that began in Rebel Heir. The twists and turns the story takes, the similarities between their situation now and that of their parents in the past is eerie and well-worked into the storyline. Rush and Gia are a powerhouse couple that rise above the challenges life throws at them but do so realistically. The choices they afce are life-changing and devastating and the fact that they take the care required to make their decisions is rare in a romance book. I loved this stunning conclusion and am just in love with both of these fabulous authors! Enjoy!

Rebel Heart is the second book in the Rush Duet and it starts off right where book one ended, with lots of questions and very few answers. Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward did an awesome job on this series, the characters are real and lovable, the issues between Rush and Gia are huge but not insurmountable. This is a very emotional read that will have you in tears, make you laugh and at the same time make you want to strangle someone. Loved this book, and the bond between Gia and Rush. Not perfect, but unbreakable!!

A perfect conclusion to this heart stopping duet! Rush once again grabbed my heart and had it bursting with so many emotions. This book starts right where it left off in Rebel Heir . I liked that this story was a non stop of finding out what would happen between Rush and Gia. Rush brought his game on with how he felt for Gia. His emotions were all over the place and there were times where I didn't know if he could or would be able to tell Gia how or if he could handle the complications they were having of being together. Gia had me crying with her. She is a hot mess of emotions that were topping with Rush's that they had me biting my nails waiting to see what she would do to with her feelings for Rush. Go get this book and find out if these two can make resolve their emotions for one another and have their rebel hearts captured.

5+ stars The rollercoaster of stories that will have you on the ride of your life!! When you read a book in one sitting, that's a sign of an unbelievably great read! I'm still coming to terms with the emotions that sucked me into Rush and Gia's riveting story. I have such a #RushCrush!! I'm telling you, it's a thing!! This book starts were Rebel Heir ends. And you have to ask the question. What on earth will happen?! Good Lord...my heart went on the ride of its life...5 hours to be exact. I feel like Gia and Rush are old friends and I'm watching their story from afar. I just loved their banter, I loved the steamy moments. But what really got me was the way Rush was feeling. It cut me deep inside too. The authors have certainly written a story that will tug at your heart. Do Gia and Rush get their happily ever after or do they go their separate ways??!! You need to read it for yourself. You have to read the riveting conclusion to their story. Go in with an open mind, and an open heart. Definite must read series!!

Beautiful conclusion to a wonderful story that will pull at your heart and capture your imagination. This story picks up right where you leave off once you finish reading Rebel Heir which I recommend you do before diving into this beauty. They are at a party and Gia see's someone she thought she would never see again and it turns out to be Rush's brother. Not ready to tell him she lets it dwell until the brother decides to get even with Rush and spill the beans. Of course that throws Rush into a tailspin with him and Gia in limbo until he can wrap his head around the news. This complicated tale will hold you in its clutches and have you wringing your hands wondering will they or won't they be together. The dynamic duo that is Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward are a POWERHOUSE, you can tell they put love and though into each and every book they turn out together. These books will not disappoint so pick up this twisty twosome (Rebel Heir&Rebel Heart) and see why everyone is swooning!!!!

If you've read Rebel Heir (and if you've picked this book up, you should have because this is not a standalone), you've been hanging out with me on that cliff Ms. Ward and Ms. Keeland left us on, and probably waiting with bated breath to see what happens next. Allow me to tell you what happens next: - Emotional rollercoaster ride - All the feels - Sheer perfection in the ending As is usually the case in books by these authors, things didn't pan out exactly the way I thought they would. I started out a little frustrated with every single person and the entire situation and then as the story went on, I became completely wrapped up with it and absolutely emotionally invested. I wasn't 100% sold on Rush and Gia after Rebel Heir, but Rebel Heart sealed the deal for me and in the end, I really did love their story so much. There is a fair amount of angst here, and at times I felt like the story drifted a bit, but the ending? SQUEE. So much SQUEE. And I could not be more satisfied.

I am pretty sure I said it in my review for Rebel Heir but I feel it needs repeating after reading Rebel Heart, I am SO in love with Rush!! This book picks up right where Rebel Heir left off and it just didn't slow down. Murphey's Law seemed to play a huge roll in this story from the first book but even more so in this second part. Everything that could go wrong to possibly mess up this couple or break them did or almost does. And these two are just amazing. Now that isn't to say this romance wasn't so emotional my eyes stayed misted and throat constricted because of some massive feelings through nearly the entire book. But how these two handled everything, even when they didn't. It was just that amazing. What these two authors have accomplished in this duet and especially in this book has been an emotional ride. Rush is every woman's dream bad boy with the soft gooey center. I just can't hate Gia no matter how hard I try. I just love her too much. She is so strong and independent. She is who I want to be when I grow up. This story was engrossing, causes intense physical responses and I don't just mean making one want to cry, and it was a plot that was "so Jerry Springer" it was impossible to put down. If I was pressed for my favorite book of the year I would have to say it is the Rush Duet. Hands down this is my favorite set of books to read so far this year. And because it IS a duet they must be read together! I can not wait to see what is in store next with these authors, both together and separately. This is one duet I highly recommend!

4.5 Stars Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland just rocked my world, and my heart! If you haven’t read Rebel Heir – you must read that first, plus it’s fantastic because Rebel Heart picks up right where that book ended. Right into the action and drama and ANGST! I’m trying to do this spoiler free but man this one got to me! I felt like I spent half this book holding my breath, just waiting to see what was going to happen. I love these characters, Gia and Rush own me! I understood their struggles and the push and pull, their situation is rough for sure. These two are so strong though and so is their love. I was rooting for this couple and I loved the way it all came together. I loved both of these books and their journey, Gia and Rush are amazing and prove how strong love can really be. The perfect amount of laughs, tears and angst! Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward have written some of my favorite stories and I’m adding Rush and Gia to that list!

I have SO much love for this book! I could not wait to get my hands on this story and to say that it was everything that I had hoped for is a huge understatement. Book 2 to this magnificent duet was just as amazing as book 1. The only thing I am disappointed about is that Rush and Gia’s story is over. I fell in love with this couple, and I did not want their story to end. There was so much emotion written on these pages. It was packed full of powerful, heart pounding moments. I felt everything! I laughed, I cried, and I swooned my way to the very end. Poor Rush. He went through so much. I was in anguish for him. My heart ached and my stomach was in knots. He was so beautiful, strong, and vulnerable. We really get to see how complex his character is and why he has become a fast favorite among Vi and Penelope’s heroes. No doubt in my mind that this duet will become a Best Seller. When these authors write separately, it’s phenomenal, but when they write together, it’s simply magical. Rebel Heir and Rebel Heart are truly MUST reads! They are definitely one of I Love Story Time's, Best of 2018! ♥ Review by Lys

If only Gia’s current writing in progress was full of the angst, heartache, and uncertainty that unfortunately fills her life ever since she realized exactly who her one-night stand/baby daddy was. Because if that was the case, she wouldn’t have to deal with Rush finding out the truth and quite possibly walking away from a connection that seemed destined to remain intact forever. But now in a horrible twist of fate, Rush and Gia’s story has to be rewritten, and as much as she wants it to end with their happily ever after, Gia ultimately no longer has control over where they end up, putting Rush in an impossible position - one that will put him in the position of either playing the hero or the villain regardless of the fact that he’s just as much a victim in all of this as Gia is. My one issue with Rebel Heir was that the main conflict was a bit too easy to identify, so heading into Rebel Heart, I was worried that the paternity reveal would be dragged out, making it the main complication of the second book’s story line, but I’m happy to say that, that was not the case; in fact, the secret did not remain hidden for long, but therein also lies the issue because it’s that information that leaves Rush conflicted, struggling to decide if his love for Gia is stronger than his hate for his brother. It’s an extremely tenuous situation that Rush and Gia find themselves in, and while my heart was put through the ringer due to Rush’s soul searching process, I can't blame him for needing the time to truly feel like he can give himself over to Gia and her baby accepting what he knows without any hesitation. Did I feel Rush went a bit too far in some instances? Absolutely, but based on the animosity between him and his father and brother, there are so many overwhelming feelings to deal with and to overcome and I can’t imagine the kind of burdens that puts on Rush’s shoulders, so I can’t completely criticize his actions, but I did feel horrible for Gia as she tried to accept Rush’s distance, his mixed signals, and the real possibility that they may never be together in the way that they both so desperately want due to a set of circumstances that seem to be too far out of their control. Rush and Gia’s journey to ‘no more unfortunately’ in their lives is an arduous task, but the fact that they don’t come completely unhinged as they delve through their separate issues as well as those they must face together speaks to the kind of people Rush and Gia are and it’s that idea that enabled me to hold on and to let Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland lead me where they needed me to go in order to understand how all the pieces of Rush and Gia’s story fit together and how those fractures get mended and made whole. 4.5 Poison Apples

4.25 stars--roller coaster of emotion 4.25 stars--REBEL HEART is the second instalment in the contemporary adult THE RUSH SERIES erotic, romance duology co-authored by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward. This is bar owner and businessman Heathcliff ‘Rush’ Rushmore, and romance author/bar hostess Gia Mirabelli’s continuing story. REBEL HEART should NOT be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events and cliff hanger of book one Rebel Heir Told from dual first person perspectives (Rush and Gia) REBEL HEART follows the continuing romance between bar owner and businessman Heathcliff ‘Rush’ Rushmore, and romance author/bar hostess Gia Mirabelli. At the end of book one REBEL HEIR Gia discovered her life was about to get a lot more complicated. Having met Rush’s family our heroine struggles with secrets from the past, and going forward alone without the man that she loves. While Rush struggles with the emotional fall-out, Gia must take control in order to protect more than just her heart. REBEL HEART is a story of one man’s struggle with the past, his family, and the knowledge that he will never be good enough for the father he barely knows. Hoping never to repeat the sins of the past, Rush must come to terms with the truth, a truth that is slowly destroying his relationship with the woman he loves. Once again, Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland pull the reader into an emotional, heart breaking and revealing story line about family, friendship, betrayal and love. The premise is dramatic and intense; the romance is erotic and provocative; the characters are coloful, energetic, charismatic and edgy. REBEL HEART is a roller coaster of emotion; of passionate hearts, and heartbreaking grief.

REBEL HEART by the wonderful Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland is full of just that. So much heart...along with hurt, a whole lot of hope and some incredibly wicked humor!! When we left Rush and Gia in REBEL HEIR, a realization was beginning to dawn and new obstacles were put in the path of a possibly amazing future. REBEL HEART takes reality a bit further by really getting into the struggles and strides of Rush and Gia as they navigate life, problems and parties! They both realize that ultimately they are each other's true ideal, but life isn't always easy, and sometimes addressing issues not associated with what one may consider the biggest heartache can in turn make that heartache a happy heartbeat! Time and perspective are unique and wonderful. REBEL HEART is the main course to REBEL HEIR'S Drinks and appetizers!! I loved how meaty this book was and how detailed oriented Ward and Keeland were in describing the past, present and possible future. I highly recommend diving in and enjoying this amazing helping of another Co-Written dream book! Believe in the truth of love...
