This is my favorite gift book for 2014! I read a few of her inspiring stories each morning. They are uplifting without being preachy.

This is a book that has something for everyone. Written beautifully by a gifted storyteller, the inspirational true tales (and more than a few miracles!) will make you laugh, make you cry, and make you feel better about life. I counted 75 stories in "Recipes For a Sacred Life" — and each of them is a gem. Rivvy Neshama passes on the wisdom, knowledge and lessons she has taken from the fascinating characters she has met and the many experiences she has had throughout what has clearly been a very varied life. I know I'll be picking up this wonderful book again and again because it makes me (and life) feel so good.

I dare you to read just one. I fell in love with so many of these stories, and their characters, that while I intended to parcel the read out over several weeks, like a great box of chocolates, I couldn't stop. I couldn't put it down, as I entered an enchanted world, that I came to see was my very own, right in front of me.

I very much enjoyed reading "Recipes for a Sacred Life!" The stories were heartfelt and relevant to me, and the spiritual "lessons" were gently and subtly presented. This book is highly recommended for anyone with an interest in spirituality!

This book is absolutely delightful: totally refreshing and inspiring! After many years of reading all kinds of "spiritual" books, at this point I mostly shy away from the ones that are too pushy and "preachy"--dictating how to think, and what to believe. I have REALLY gained much more of an appreciation and preference for well told heart-felt spirit stories, pithy parables that offer whatever nourishment and clarity I need at the time. For me, resonance, identification, and learning/growth are paramount--which is why I love the wonderfully gentle wisdom in this book so much... "Recipes for a Sacred Life," indeed--very aptly named, and a real gem!
