Ian and Kenzie had amazing chemistry from the time they first met in the previous book about their BFFs. Ian is training to become a pro MMA fighter and Kenzie is working at the gym providing medical support to the fighters training there. Even though the try to ignore the attraction, to "focus on what's important", they are pulled toward each other because fate and destiny have other plans. I really enjoyed finding out more about these characters and rooted for them as they struggled to find their HEA. The only question I have left is: Will there be more books in this series with the other characters? I would loved to read more stories from this world.

5 star Cage wants MacKenzie but he pushed her away.  MacKenzie was brought up in foster care.  She has never known real love and tends to thin of everyone before herself.  When MacKenzie realizes that Cage does not want her she decides to move on.  But Cage does want her and might have realized a little to late.  What he does not understand is she will do anything so he can get his fight he has worked so hard for.  When he is injured she helps him out.  When he is almost replaced she makes sure she gets him back in the running.  Now the big day is almost upon them and she is still trying to help out Cage.  Will he be happy with her sacrifices or will he have already moved on from her?          I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.  I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story in this series.

Readers who like their romances full of sexual tension will get all that and more in this sensual MMA-themed story of two people drawn to each other who fight their attraction every step of the way. Though it's the follow-up to Ms. Ryan's Hard to Love it's easy to jump right into the action and crackling connection between fighter Ian and nurse Mackenzie. Theirs is a journey that's both frustrating yet engaging as they're both likable with actions that are understandable despite your frustration. By the end of the story you're left exhausted yet satisfied having gone though this romantic tug of war. Ian is on the verge of making it big, if only he can keep focused on his fighting. He's a determined man with rules that he always abides by as he's prepping for a fight. He doesn't drink, doesn't eat anything unhealthy, and refrains from sex. These rules were always easy until he met Mackenzie, then it was endless frustration for him trying to keep his hands off her. When she starts dating the gym's owner his frustration grows and you can practically feel him vibrating with jealousy. Through it all though I adored Ian. He's strong and sexy but with a heart of gold. He wants only the best for Mackenzie and sees his breaking into the big leagues as a way to get her the best. He's a hard working man and I was rooting for him every step of the way, both in love and in war. Mackenzie is a likable heroine who's experienced a lot of loss in life which has left her heart bruised and full of self-doubt. From the moment she meets Ian their connection is electric. When he rebuffs her though she's crushed and thinks it's because of her. Her low self-esteem saddened me but understandable considering her past. From then on their interactions teemed with sexual tension as they danced around each other in a sensual battle that frustrated me at times. Misunderstandings are the core of their issues and simply talking would've had them getting vertical much sooner. Her choice to date someone else was yet another poor choice that did nothing to alleviate her attraction to Ian, and in fact amped up the sexual tension. Despite all this, I still enjoyed their interactions as they were intense on every level. From start to finish the flow of this story kept me fully immersed in their sensual tug of war. Their banter was rife with sexual tension too and kept me on edge waiting for them to give into each other. Ian was a highlight for me with his cocky attitude and bad boy thoughts and he's still showing up in my dreams. Surrounding these two are characters from the previous book and others that weigh in on this battle making it even more enjoyable to watch. Fans of sports-themed romances will enjoy the MMA scenes and lovers of romance will enjoy Ian and Mackenzie's sizzling connection in this winner from Ms. Ryan.

Reckless Love by Kendall Ryan was a passionate book that was super easy to read and sucked me in from the very start.  So, we have hot, sexy alpha MMA fighter Ian who is training and about to enter his first pro fight. He has some pretty strict rules for himself when he is in full on training mode - no drinking, no p*$$y and of course his workouts are full on crazy and and something to see (if you like to watch a built man sweat and spar for hours and hours on end ;) ) But for all of his toughness and how closed off he can sometimes appear Ian has a heart of gold, and really is there anything hotter than that! Well maybe throw in that he is super protective of his little sister and will do anything to take care of her! *SWOON*  Throw in MacKenzie to this mix. She is a nurse who works in Ian's gym - and is ridiculously attracted to Ian. He thwarted their hook-up the first night they met (you know his whole no p*$$Y rule while training thing!) and she has not been able to get him out of her mind ever since! Now she is working with Ian to get him in shape for his fight and sparks are flying everywhere! Ahhh..the sexual tension between MacKenzie and Ian was Off. The. Charts. No matter how much they try to deny what is between them when they are together it just sizzles! And that scene on the mat...Wow!The two of them are just drawn together and can't help it. If only they can find a way to work through their issues ~ Ian's training schedules and Kenzie's past.  The story was just so well written you can't help but be drawn into it. It flows seamlessly and makes for one of those easy reads that just take you along for the ride. I can't wait to go and read Hard To Love because I want to know more about Ian and Kenzie's BFFs Cade and Alexa. I definitely recommend this book! If you want romance, passion, sexual tension and an all out good read that you won't want to put down - go on and one click! I received a complimentary copy of Reckless Love in exchange for my honest review.

I love it when an author that I adore makes books that have me panting for more! Reckless Love is book 2 in this series. Although it can be read as a standalone. I would suggest you read Hard to Love just to get a bit of background, you totes don't have to but that it just what I suggest.  We meet Ian and McKenzie. Straight off from page 1 I am laughing because it's just like a man to say the things he says.  Ian is an MMA fighter so he has certain rules that he abides by. McKenzie is a nurse who was laid off and is now employed at the gym Ian works out in. Ian and Mckenzie are both lovable characters that frustrated the crap out of me at times. You know what happens when two people are sexually compatible but they are both too stubborn to see past themselves. Yeah thats these two.  McKenzie is a strong, independent and prideful woman. Qualities which are great but sometimes women need to let down their guard just a bit to let someone in. I get why she is this way, and I love how Kendall wrote the story because as things began to unravel I was loving how it was all playing out for the characters. Ian! What can I say about Ian! If you love you some hot, alpha male manly man then Ian is mean right up your ally. I love how he is protective yet sweet and sincere. He made me all melty.  Kendall Ryan is one author who just gets it. She knows how to write in a male POV so much that you forget that she is a female author and seriously think a male is writing Ian's POV. Not many authors can pull that off. This book had me going through the motions. Sometimes I wanted to slap sense into the characters because I was like can you two just TALK to one another geez. Other times I was swooning and couldn't wait to read what was coming next. Overall this book is not to be missed. MMA fighters are hot. Nurses are hotter. Put together and fireworks erupt.

I love a good MMA romance! And this is a great one! This was my first book in the series but I’m anxious to go back and rad the first one.  Ian is a rising star. And like many of our romance heroes, he starts out of the opinion that a woman would split his focus and that he needs to be 100% on the path to his career. And, like those heroes before, he also learns what a stupid opinion that is! When Ian met McKenzie, the heat between them threatened to cause spontaneous combustion. However, he pulls away at the last minute and blows his opportunity with her. As time passes, opportunity throws them together and he begins to realize that being without her is the biggest distraction. Ian is an easy hero to love. He’s a little rough around the edges, but it’s endearing when you put it together with his amazing heart of gold. He is all about family and friends. When he finally lets himself love Kenzie, he does so with everything that’s in him. He is a little bit typical, but it doesn’t matter so much that I’ve seen this hero before, Ian is unique in his own way and I wasn’t bored, I still fell in love with him. Kenzie is tough. She grew up in string of crappy foster homes, she lives in a rough neighborhood, and she has closed her heart off to avoid pain. She got a strong personality and she cares about her friends and the people she works with. She is engaged in the sport and that’s always a fun characteristic for a heroine.  When she meets Ian, she opens that door just the slightest bit, only to slam it shut when she feels rejected by him. She begins to date his best friend, her boss, and that really ticked me off. Only because, from the very first moment, she knows there is nothing between them. She ignores the little things he does or doesn’t do, that bug her because she “hopes” it will grow into something. However, this isn’t a case of building attraction when you have a good solid friendship. No, this is her turning a blind eye to the fat that Chris is a self-centered, ungentlemanly ass. Something as little as not holding the car door open for speaks volumes, but she ignores it.  When she makes a decision to put Ian ahead of her own happiness, it’s another one of those situations where the heroine uses the excuse that she is sacrificing for his benefit, when really, it’s just an excuse for her to run away from the situation. This always baffles me, you’re already going to be hurting when you run away, so why not stick it out and see if you can make lemonade? The whole “misunderstanding because we never talked about it” thing, gets on my nerves. But, it’s Kenzie who won’t talk about it with him, which just solidifies my opinion that her “unselfish” acts are really just makeup covering her selfish ones.  While there were some moments that I slightly cringed at, overall I really enjoyed it. It is very well written and the story is solid. The secondary characters definitely take on lives of their own and they add a lot of great depth to the story.  Ian and Kenzie make a great couple and I loved seeing them get their HEA. I’m a big fan of Kendal Ryan and I’ll continue to read her books as they release! Well done! 4 Stars!

I love everything that Kendall Ryan writes. Reckless Love is a companion novel to Hard to Love but can be read as a standalone. I was so happy when Kendall decided to give us another book in this series. This is Ian and Kenzie's story and I really enjoyed it. Ian is a training for the biggest fight of his life and his number one rule when he is in training mode is no sex. Ian and Kenzie go one night and things get hot and heavy between them but Ian leaves her high and dry. Kenzie has deep feelings for Ian but his leaving her hanging haleft a bitter taste in her mouth. Ian thinks that he isn't good enough for Kenzie so he pretends that he is fine with her dating his friend Chris. When Ian gets hurt at one of his fights Kenzie has to go to his house to help with his therapy so he will be ready for his big fight. The sexual tension between these two is off the charts! Will these two keep fighting their feelings for each other or will they finally open up and admit their feelings? "Ever since the night we met, I’ve known I wanted to be a part of your life. Even the days it was torture to be near you…" I loved the connection between Ian and Kenzie and how they always wanted the best for each other. Ian had a rough exterior but was a big softy underneath it all. Kenzie was a very loving person who would give up everything to make Ian happy. I love how protective they were of each other. It was fun catching up with Cade and Alexa again as well. This book is a fun sexy read and I highly recommend it.

Excellent story, well written and more entertaining than anything I've read in a while, because I LOVED the male POV (Ian's chapters) and also the twists and turns made it unique, I really didn't know until the end how their HEA would work! Nice job. I will read more by this author.
