About the Author

Author Amy Miles has always been a bit of a dreamer. Growing up as an only child, and a military brat to boot, she spent countless hours escaping into the pages of a book, only to spend the following days creating a new idea of how to twist up the story to make it unique. Since becoming a mother, Amy has slowly nourished her love of the written word while snatching writing time in the midst of soiled diapers, tumbling over legos and peering around mounds of laundry and dishes that never seem to go away. Once her only son started school, Amy was free to let her fingers dive into dark mythology, tales of betrayal and love, and explore human nature in its rawest form. Her love of seeing the world from a different angle bloomed. Author Amy Miles is the author of several novels, including her popular young adult immortal books, The Arotas Series, which are an Amazon and iBooks bestselling series. Unwilling to be defined by any one genre, she proceeded to flip over to a science fiction/fantasy based idea with her Rising Trilogy. She then explored the depths of her own faith with In Your Embrace and discovered her darker side with the first installment Wither, a zombie thriller. Want to know what Amy will be working on next? Wow! The bad guys in this book are really, really bad. I thought Vladmir should've won Creepy Jerk of the Century Millennium but he may not even be the worst one!! In fact at this point, I don't know if there's anyone they can trust! Somehow Rose has managed to turn some of her enemies into friends but then some of her friends can't seem to be trusted at all! Both Rose and Gabe still need a lot of answers that they don't seem to be getting from the people that know. And I need answers, too! What the heck is going on with Gabe? What exactly is this Prophecy everyone keeps referring and what does it have to do with them? Ugh!! I'd love to tell you more about how much I love this series but I got to get on to book 3 and find out what happens!

The author is a great writer. I find it ironic that the one criticizing the misspellings has a type-o of his/her own. Not having a copy editor makes it difficult. Trying to get published with a publishing house who can give you all of that is almost impossible these days. I am glad to read a work from a writer who enjoys writing and is very good at it. I highly recomend her work. I love this series :-)

Great book, different take on dracula and his evilness. I enjoyed the characters and the background to the story.

I'm disappointed, I read to page 32 and it won't move past that page. It is blank. Since others didn't post this in their reviews I'm guessing it's some sort of glitch.

What is with typos in books now? Can't the author go back and read their own work and fix the typos? While the story line is good, the typos really make for disjointed reading. There are even parts where the author switches to 1st person part way through a sentance.
