LtCol Ralph Peters writes something he knows better than most: how the Red Army would have fought in Western Europe had the Soviet Union not collapsed. The book doesn't revolve around the tactics, but more the POL-MIL strategy from the viewpoint of the Red Army. What is disappointing is the Army-centric nature of the book; however, this is no surprise given he's a retired Army officer.
