About the Author

Who am I?

Good question...

I am many things; a mother, a wife, a sister, a writer.

I have pretty, pretty boys who live in my head, who don't let me sleep at night unless I give them life with words.

I like it when they do dirty, dirty things...but I like it even more when they fall in love.

I used to think having people in my head talking to me was weird, until one day I happened across other writers who told me it was normal.

I've been writing ever since...

The build up of attraction between Charlie and Travis was amazingly sensual and intimate. The connection between the two characters, from the moment they set eyes on each other was suspenseful and intriguing. Even without knowing how Travis felt, it was written well enough to know that the two men had a deep, lustful attraction for each other. An American and an Australian, with deep, lustful attraction for each other. It's not one of those love-at-first-sight novels, it's something that truly allows the two characters to grow, even with suffering from his own demons. This was extremely well written and I cannot wait to read the next one.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. The characters are so real, genuine. I felt everything right along with them, smiling, catching my breath, tearing up. I have read and enjoyed other NR Walker books and cannot wait for the next installment of red dirt!

I never knew about farming in Australia. They are not playing around. It takes a heck of man to even make an attempt. Red Dirt Heart has two tough, intelligent workingmen as the leads. They’re from two different countries, but beliefs and feelings transcend all that. I enjoyed how most everyone felt like family and was 100% ready to help each other. I love Charlie’s focus and Travis’s ability to break down his guard. I’ve focused a lot on their strength, but I want to add that there are really sweet moments also. I’m looking forward to more from this series.

We have Charlie, a gay male that left the Station for college and to get away from his father and not to come back until his father’s passing a couple of year previous. Every since then he has been running the Station, crew and animals doing a better job than his father ever did. But it’s been a lonely couple of years and at this point he’s resigned himself to the fact that this is it, this is his life.  Then one day Travis shows up, in an exchange program from Texas. And all bets are off. Travis is showing him and making him feel things that he was sure he never would again. But in four weeks, Travis will be gone. Or will he?  So this is my first book by this author and I've heard wonderful things about this series, so I was really excited about reading it and had pretty high expectations. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. It’s very well written and I found Charlie a strong character and determined to do anything for anyone no matter the cost. I loved Ma’ and her no mess no fuss attitude, George a good person to lean on, Travis kind of cute and enduring but no chemistry between all of them no comradely between the crew.  I did very much like reading about the land, the drive and didn't feel like it was info overload.  I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review by Crystals Many reviews

This was a lovely story of a lonely, non confident man, Charlie, who had a lot of responsibilities but was content to live his life alone. Then in came a student to learn more about ranching in Australia. Travis was confident, eager to please and an all around great guy. This was their story of how they fell in love. The plot line was realistic and believable. The dialogue was great, full of understanding about the characters. The ending was perfect. I was given this in return for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads. ~Sherry

This book takes place in the Australian Outback. Charlie is the owner of the ranch where Travis travels to further educate himself. Charlie knows the moment he sees him that his life is about to change. He isn’t sure it’s for the better though, since he isn’t out and doesn’t plan to ever be out. Travis is very strong willed, where Charlie is fighting the attraction for all its worth. I loved all of the characters in the story. In this first one, I immediately fell for Travis, yet I wasn’t sure about Charlie. I loved Ma and the hands. As for the setting, I felt like I was right there in the outback with them. There isn’t a lot of action or angst. It’s very powerful and emotional though. And I found the sex just right. This is a very well done set up for a series. It pulled me and held me. I had to jump right into the next one If you like stories set in other countries, the Australian outback, ranchers (yep hot sexy cowboys with accents!), agriculture, a very lovely romance, and some pretty hot mansex, this is definitely for you. This series is now one of my favourites!
