Blake had a softer side that she always suspected he had but only witnessed for the first time tonight. He made her feel safe, and she believed him when he said he would protect her. She didn’t doubt that for a minute. But could she let him? BLAKE & JESSIE! AHHH! FINALLY! I’ve been waiting for this story foreeeeeever, and I was not disappointed. These two have been dancing around each other for far too long. And when this story began … wow, it didn’t even start slow! I can’t believe how much was jam packed into this story! As much as I love Jessie & her sassy, independent attitude, I kinda wanted to smack her a couple times. She was just SO argumentative, and although I totally get her later, right then she was frustrating! Everyone tries so hard to get close to her, but she just keeps pushing them away. Especially Blake, who sees something in her that he identifies with, and when he tries to help — she just keeps pushing! When Jessie is almost … well, let’s just say something major happens, and Blake has finally had it! “I said stop. That means quiet. I talk; you listen…got it?” He tossed her a look of fury that easily matched her own. “You could have died back there, ya know it? Died, Jessie. I know you are dealing with something-something big-and I get that you aren’t ready to or just don’t want to talk about it, but let’s get something clear. You don’t get to kill yourself. You don’t get to die, running from whatever the hell you’re running from. You don’t get to leave us, or … me.” Gah! Yes! Thank you, Blake, for finally manning up and letting her know what’s up! Seriously, there was so much going on that I can’t begin to cover it all in a review. The unraveling of Blake, and Jessie, was such a beautiful and difficult thing to read. I loved being able to delve into their pasts and into their hearts, but it also broke my heart a little. This story delivered the anticipated suspense and action I love, but also something truly beautiful. Two of my favorite lines: -one represented how deep Blake truly had already fallen: “Because falling into bed with you is falling in love with you. Okay?” -the other showed Jessie’s true strength to rebuild her life and encompasses all that is McKenzie: “I chose life, and good, and happiness. That’s what brought me to McKenzie and keeps me here.”

The Best Yet! I am sad that this is the final book in the McKenzie Ridge series because these books are so good. The upside is that I am sure that there are greater reads on the horizon from this very talented author. She brought a quiet, sleepy, little, town into our lives and made it come to life with characters that became part of a large quirky family. From all walks of life, with mysterious and troubled pasts, the townspeople of McKenzie Ridge come together to support one another each and every time they need it. I absolutely love this entire series but with Blake and Jessie, their story was the unknown. The author did this one proud! She finalized this series with a bang! The entire cast was included in one way or another giving each one a final bow. I loved how each couple went on to have multiple children and were able to go beyond their Happily Ever After. Finding out that Blake had a tough life to endure, he definitely deserved to find his happiness. Jessie also had a past that would forever change a person so having Blake in her life made all the difference. This might be the last book in this fabulous series, but it certainly didn’t lack for action, dangerous fires, and a whole lot of hot stuff! It made me laugh and it made me cry with page after page of humor, angst and frustration. The twist and turns of Blake and Jessie’s unique relationship have you dedicated to reading this story in one sitting. The “who done it” part is definitely unexpected and well written with the conclusion very satisfying. I love how these characters all come together with such fierce love, loyalty and camaraderie together in this book as well as this entire series. I can’t wait to see what the author comes up with next! Excellent job!

Redemption: WOW! WOW! WOW! An amazing addition to the series! Fantastic romance and great dialog. Characters were strong throughout the story! I could not put the book down it was so fantastic. I loved how it was written. I loved the challenges that Jessie and Blake were giving each other. They were perfect for each other and I loved the concept of the story. Stephanie St. Klaire did another amazing job of writing this book.

Wow! The much anticipated conclusion to The McKenzie Ridge series did not disappoint! It was fantastic! Jessie, tough, rude, crass, is hiding a big secret from her friends and when that secret puts her in danger Blake is right there to protect her. This story had lots of great twists as well as plenty of romance, tears, and fun with the whole crowd of friends. And babies. Lots of babies. A fabulous ending this series!

As I suspected from the beginning Jessie and Blake were my favorites. I loved Jessie’s snarkiness, wit and humor. Blake balanced her perfectly. The twists and turns kept you from putting it down. Amazing book from an amazing author.

This book is brilliant!!! Stephanie St. Klaire saved her best work for last. After reading Redemption, I've been thinking long and hard how will she ever outdo this book, and she's got her work cut out for her. Technically, this book is flawless. Everything ties up beautifully, good length, a nice pace is set from the beginning, and the build up is the best from all the books. All the characters make their appearances but this one is completely centered in Blake and Jessie. Be prepared, because this one is not for the faint of heart. I laughed, I cried, I rooted for them, I screamed, pulled my hair, sighed, and, by the end, the outcome was far better than what I would have ever expected or imagined. This is definitely the perfect ending for an era, because that's what McKenzie Ridge is, an era for SSK followers. SSK is super talented and I can't wait to see what she has prepared after this.

Redemption is the last book in the McKenzie Ridge series. The twists and turns the couples in this series have all faced, were well written and well thought out. I’ve been waiting for Blake and Jessie’s story since Ms. St. Klaire’s first introduced us to McKenzie Ridge. It was worth the wait. Blake and Jessie both have shadowy backgrounds. They’re private people. They don’t share what their lives were like prior to settling into life in McKenzie Ridge. Blake is ex-military and needs to be the protector. In his role as Police Chief, he fills that position quite well. Jessie needs to be strong. As a firefighter she faces her demons daily. When evil converges in McKenzie Ridge, Blake and Jessie are both in danger from their pasts. The intrigue in this book is right up there with the romance. As usual, there is a sharp right turn towards the end of the book, that you absolutely do not see coming! A fabulous ride, and a worthy ending to this wonderful series. I’ve been reading Stephanie St. Klaire since her debut in 2016. Holy Kats…she’s only been writing for about 2 years and I look forward to all of her works.

An Emotional Journey! Two people deeply flawed and broken by their pasts find each other and begin the process of helping each other heal while chasing a psychopath.  This is the final book in the Mackenzie Series and it was perfect!! I have waited a long time for Blake and Jessie's story and it was SO worth it!! This story touched my heart and will live there for a while! I also LOVED the ending!! I will not give it away but I will say, it was the perfect way to end the series!!

What a great series finale! I have enjoyed this series from the beginning and have watched the sexy alpha police chief Blake Cooper and Jessie Clark, the foul mouth firefighter with a tough exterior, but a heart of gold; dance around their love-hate relationship. They both are close with their McKenzie Ridge family of friends and would do anything to help each one of them, but they both keep people at arm’s length, not sharing their personal secrets and pain. There is so much going on that I was held captive watching as twists and turns added to the plot, building tension as layer upon layer of clues are discovered and explored. I loved that the O’Reilly boys were involved as well as the rest of the McKenzie gang that I have grown to feel as family. I was rooting for Blake and Jessie to finally succumb to their undeniable chemistry and when they do, whoa it was HOT! I don’t want to give away anything as this finale needs to be read and enjoyed. The book is best saved for last after enjoying the series that is McKenzie Ridge. This is a wonderful, well written series that has you falling in love with the characters and the town. There are laughs, tears, tension, great chemistry and smoldering sexy times, hilarious dialog and banter. The characters and secondary characters are real, and some are quirky! I love each and every one of them. Terrific book and wonderful series!

Oh my gosh!!! I want to read the series all over again. This is the fifth book in the McKenzie Ridge series. This is the book where Jessie and Blake finally get time for their story. Jessica and Blake both have secrets in their past. They have closed of those parts of their lives and do not want to share the stories with anyone.....until Jessica's past come back to haunt her. Blake becomes extremely overbearing and has to take care of Jessie. Due to Blake's job, he knows what has happened to Jessie - every little detail. But he will not tell a single person. Will Jessie's past ruin McKenzie Ridge and take Blake away from her? This really is a fantastic book. Very quick to read, lots of emotion - everywhere!! Laughing, crying, gasping... This book can be read as a standalone, but really should read all of the books so you know the characters and stories behind them. I am going to read them all again because I love them!!

A terror was coming for her A wonderful ending to the McKenzie Ridge series. Jessie & Blake have been fighting their attraction all series. We knew they had hidden secrets and living with pain. This is their story and what a story it is. Blake is a smoking hot protector. Jessie is rude, crude, and tells it how it is (love her). I love this series with a group of friends who are very close and take care of each other through everything. Wonderfully written with depth to the characters, dialogue, and the plot. Stephanie delivers everything we expect from her: comedy, smoking hot romance, angst, secrets, pain, suspense, an epic twist you won’t see coming, healing hearts, and a Happily Ever After. The entire series is a must read.

Redemption by Stephanie St. Klaire Wow! This story has dark moments and moments of joy...can you imagine 4 babies born on the same day to three different friends??? Anyway, Jessie has a scarred past, filled with a traumatic event from 10 years earlier. Blake, too, has had a traumatic past from an event several years ago as well. No one truly knows the pain these two people have endured. That has kept them from letting others really get to know them. And Blake and Jessie have apparently been antagonizing each other for years. Unfortunately,I haven’t read the previous 4 stories in this series. Now I want to! This book had me on the edge of my seat for much of it. There are some major plot twists and unexpected turns. I’m not going to give away any spoilers here. I will say that the way the people of Makenzie Ridge pull together to help each other is a thing of beauty! Thank you, Ms. St. Klaire, for an amazing story and for sharing your gift with each of your readers. Wow! Just Wow!

This was a great series finale, I was hooked from page 1. Both Jessie & Blake danced around each other in McKenize Ridge. She is a stubborn, fierce firefighter that was doing her best to overcome her past, however she holds a secret. Blake is the sheriff & also has his own secrets. He loves his town & protecting the people there. When Jessie & Blake are forced to work together sparks fly & they need to learn to trust & rely on each other.

Saying goodbye to McKenzie Ridge was hard, but what a goodbye it was! Blake and Jessie finally getting together was totally worth the wait. Stephanie St. Klaire really knows how to wrap up a series!

Great book! It has a really nice pace and builds up to a surprising climax. Really enjoyed this book. Couldn’t put it down. Blake protects his own and Jessie keeps everyone at arm’s length. They both have their own demons from their past. Can they get past their own demons to help each other and keep the people they love, safe.

I loved the way this story began! It was so Jessie! At long last we get Blake and Jessie’s story. If you’ve been reading the series, you should be as anxious as I to finally be here. If you haven’t read the previous books, that’s okay. You’ll still really enjoy this tale! We finally learn the back stories for both Blake and Jessica, and they are truly heartbreaking! As they struggle through their own personal issues to recognize their feelings for each other, they also have to face a real life threat, not only against themselves but those they care about. It’s quite a journey with a few twists and turns before they get to where they are destined to be. Ms. St. Klaire writes an intense, intriguing, suspenseful romance. Her stories are real page turners, easy flow, full of action and emotions, with strong characters. The males are solid alphas with a deep-seated sense of protection for those close to them. The females are strong and independent with intense loyalty to those they care about. Each of Ms. St. Klaire’s books takes you on an amazing ride. You will truly become involved in each of her stories, finding them hard to put down. She makes you feel as if you are invested in the lives of her characters. The outcomes of each of her tales are well worth the ride! I highly recommend this and all of Ms. St. Klaire’s books! I volunteered to leave an unbiased review for a complimentary copy of this book.

This book was amazing from start to finish. Based off of the other McKenzie Ridge books I always knew that Jessie and Blake would eventually find their way to each other but there were so many unexpected curveballs along the way that I could not put the book down! The way that Jessie and Blake each dealt with their grief resonated within me because everyone deals with their grief differently, and some people are better at hiding their grief than others. Thinking back to the previous McKenzie Ridge books, I never would have guessed how deep the suffering went for either character. Reading the book a second time helped me realize that there were clues that I missed along the way but the ending, and the real villain, completely shocked me! I'm sad that the McKenzie Ridge series is complete but I can't wait for more from Stephanie St. Klaire!

WOWZERS!!!!! I can't remember the last time I read such an emotional roller coaster. The first couple of chapters I laughed so hard I was crying. Water was streaming. Tears of laughter turned to tears of sadness. I would have labeled Redemption an Ugly cry if it hadn't been for the author's ability to weave humor within the story. I still was able to giggle. I still had amazing "feel good" moments. As I read, I finally, (yes I have been dying to know), what had happened to Jessie. It wasn't BAM here you go. No, the author was able to slowly leak information creating addiction to the story stronger than my addiction to chocolate (I have two drawers full of chocolate). My heart wept for her character. Her personality makes so much sense. And just in case you weren't crying enough, Blake shares his story with Jessie. The group of characters is so strong that they find away to survive anything. It didn't matter that the town was endanger. It didn't matter that they were threatened. They would unite to protect Jessie from her past. Just when I thought life would settle---major explosive twist. Gotta a say I didn't see that ending coming. The words coming from my mouth make Jessie look like a nun.

Though this book is a standalone, it became clear to me that I had missed out on a lot by beginning at book 5 in the series. I had a hard time keeping track of who was married to whom, and who was whom. A lot of names were thrown at me within the first few pages. That being said, I enjoyed this story, regardless of the initial confusion. Filled with tension, angst, humor, love and family, it truly was a hard book to put down. If you're looking for a twisted romantic suspense, look no further than Redemption.

Jessie and Blake have a love/ irritate relationship, they love to irritate each other. When a danger from her past comes for her can Jessie learn to not only trust, but love the one person who can help keep her safe. Stephanie has written a wonderful story and I loved following Jessie and Blake as work together to keep McKenzie Ridge and their loved ones safe.

Blake and Jessie finally get their story and what a story it was! This is a perfect ending to one of my most favorite series. Blake is a sexy, secretive and fiercely loyal Lawman to his friends and the people of McKenzie Ridge. The tragedies in his past give him a stronger sense of duty to protect those around him yet remain closed off from his feelings and desires. Jessie deals with her past traumas by being as unwomanly as possible. She's sarcastic, filthy mouthed, always flipping people off, hates glitter and loves her combat boots. Blake and Jessie's story was all consuming. Filled with great humor and laughter, intense chemistry and the suspenseful plot twists that readers of Stephanie St. Klaire knows will be in her books..

Hands down the best book of the series, unfourtantly it is also the final book. Blake and Jessie have been at each other through out the entire series and their story made the wait worth it. This story will have wanting to stay up and skip work to read the entire book!! This is definitely a must read!

It is amazing to think that Ms. St. Klaire has only been writing since 2016, because she is by far one of the best writers out there for romantic suspense. This last story in the series is like the finale at a fireworks display. I was so blown away and yet so sad that it was over. This story of Jessie and Blake has been simmering since the very beginning of the series and boiled over in Redemption. Theirs is a love/hate relationship. They really antagonize each other through most of the book, but that is just who Jessie is. She would much rather give you the finger than say hello. Blake is a protector and bent on protecting the prickly Jessie from her horrific past coming back to terrorize her. Jessie thinks her past is hidden from all of her friends and is really PO'd that Blake has unearthed it. Blake has a hidden past of his own. They must share their pasts in order to put aside their animosity and let the shells around them crack. As things heat up in the sheets, so do they in their little community...and not in a good way. They must work together to overcome the evil that threatens them and those they love. Will it be enough to put out the danger? Will the two strongest of people soften and come together to stay? I would normally say that you just have to read this book, but in the case of the McKenzie Ridge series, I have to say you have just got to read the whole series. I say that not because you can't read this book without reading the others, but because each one is so amazing that you will do yourself an injustice if you don't read EVERY SINGLE ONE of them. Well played, Ms. St. Klaire, well played!

Blake and Jessie finally get their HEA! While this book can be read as a stand alone, it would be much better having read the series. The series really puts an amazing perspective on both of these characters, their personalities and understanding of a troubled past. Their bantering is funny and always so well placed throughout the book. Blake has a military past, one that you know has left him with many scars from what he experienced. Jessie is much harder. You know something is there, but until this story, you do not get to hear about her past. I enjoyed the suspense of this book. It flowed so well from start to finish while building up the very twisted ending you do not expect. And the ending was perfect for these two characters who deserved to put their pasts behind them and find love.
