Overview

Reducing Your Foodprint: Farming, Cooking, and Eating for a Healthy Planet by Ellen Rodger

"We Can Do It" was a slogan that appeared on posters made during World War II. One poster featured "Rosie the Riveter," a women dressed in blue coveralls (shown below). The poster was originally intended to encourage women to enter the workforce in industry to replace the men who left to serve in the war. Today, the image of Rosie the Riveter represents a time when people came together as a society to reach a common goal. Today's energy challenge can be combatted in a similar way. Together, we can work to save our planet from the pollution caused by burning fossil fuels by learning to conserve energy and developing alternative energy sources.
