Reforming Lord Ragsdale by Carla Kelly

Emma Costello owes a debt of honor to one of the most dishonorable lords in the realm. The infamous Lord Ragsdale is as sinful as he is rich and as heartless as he is handsome. But after he saves Emma from a life of indentured servitude and shame, she decides it is her personal duty to save him from his reckless ways . . . without his permission.

I am only on page 39 of this book and already, it is better than the last 10 (or so) books I've read by other authors! Hysterically funny and well written. Best description of a hangover I've seen/read since "It Happened One Night." The first 39 pages are worth more than most 300 page books, IMHO! Enjoy - and congratulations to Ms. Kelly!!

I have owned this book in paperback for years and pick it up again and again! A good mix of humor, wit and honesty in each character.

Another great read by Carla Kelly. Two broken souls come together, heal through a growing friendship, overcome prejudice and fall in love. They develop respect and real liking for each other which I believe is always the best foundation for marriage. Physical attraction is there, but is not the primary focus of this romance.

Historically realistic, heroes and heroines that you like and come to love, and happy endings.

Clean - no sex, though reformed characters. Very good story - learnt a lot about English and Irish relations at the turn of the 19th Century. Lord Ragsdale kept me in giggles and smiles, and Kate was wonderfully spunky. Loved the ending!

This was a love story with great characters, full of predjuice and preconcieved ideas that just were lost to a budding friendship - turned love. Loved the characters, I want to know what happend next for them, wish there was a follow up!

Great secondary story behind the romance between the main characters! Loved all of it, really. Could use better proof reader and punctuation.

This is the kind of writing I can't get enough to read. It's story telling at its best. I wish more authors would write like this, just two people slowly getting to know about each other. No sex to confuse things. I loved all of the characters. This story came alive. It was so realistic. Would make a great little movie. The kind you would watch over and over again. Lik e " Now Voager" or "Goodbye Mr Chips". Thank you Carla Kelly! PS: l love the l Regency era.

Pretty good character development and plot. I like how it was told from each of the characters perspective.
