Overview

Summary
Three young women from Chicago journey to the Holy Land in search of the site of the Crucifixion. On their last day in Jerusalem, Maria, one of the young women, slips and falls while exploring a hill. As she falls, a sliver embeds itself in her finger.
Amazingly, as her friends watch, her apparently broken finger straightens itself. The area around the sliver provides a warm tingle when touched. Following their adventure, the three take a taxi back to their hotel.
A number of events ensue, including an aborted skyjacking of their plane, unexplained healings of people they encounter, plus numerous other happenings. Maria is instrumental in founding a battered women's shelter, and as the story unfolds, conflicts with drug dealers and other unscrupulous people develop.
Is the sliver a Relic of the Cross of the Crucifixion?
Are forces of evil thwarted and the miracles attributable to the sliver?
Follow the adventures of these young women in Chicagoland as they encounter good and evil.

About the Author

About the Author
Tom and his brother John were deposited in an orphanage at the ages of 8 and 3, after their mother passed away. Their father came to visit for a couple hours twice a month.
After graduation, Tom found a job at a bank, after passing a chilling and scary lie detector test. Have you ever stolen a piece of bubble gum? Oh, the guilt memories can create.
After a few years, Uncle Sam pointed his finger at Tom and he was drafted into the Army. He was then directed to Vietnam, with the 1st Cavalry. While in Vietnam, Tom's father passed away and he came home to raise his brother.
Evidently, the people at LaSalle Bank liked him and he was rehired, upon release from the Army. Another lie detector testing, fortunately, was not required.
Tom enjoyed a career in banking; got married and was rewarded with the most wonderful gift, when his daughter Samantha was born. She married a wonderful man, Randy, and she continues to be the joy of Tom's life.
He met Chelle a few years ago, after each had been divorced for a number of years. They enjoy a relationship in business and in life. Tom says, "Chelle does the hard work and I try to keep up with her."
Relic of the Cross is Tom's first publishing effort, classified as Religious Fiction. A sequel is in the works along with another genre of fiction.
