Meet the Author

Jane Ellen Harrison (1850–1928) was an English authority on ancient Greek religion, a linguist, and feminist. One of the first female students at University of Cambridge, she went on to teach classics at Newnham College, Cambridge. A friend of Walter Pater, Virginia Woolf, Lytton Strachey, and Clive Bell—Harrison became one of the Bloomsbury group members. She is best known for her works Prolegomena to the History of Greek Religion (1903); Themis (1912); and Epilegomena to the Study of Greek Religion (1921).

I really enjoyed reading this book even though it was short. Great book fir beginners.
