Overview

Remembrance by Jude Deveraux

Bestselling romance writer Hayden Lane has just lost the "perfect" man, but what real man could compete with the dark intriguing character she writes about. But when a psychic tells her that Hayden has had a past life, she yearns to know more, and despite the psychic's warnings, Hayden cannot let this go.

In an effort to learn about her past, Hayden is hypnotized, but instead of merely remembering, she awakens in Edwardian England and immediately faints. But when she wakes up again, she will embark on an adventure beyond her wildest dreams -- and will have the chance at a love so rapturous that it defies the boundaries of time...

Suffused with Jude Deveraux's trademark warmth, humor, and tender sensuality, Remembrance is an unforgettable tale of a remarkable woman and the one man who was her destiny.

I was given this book for something to read while at the beach. I had never read Jude Deveraux before but fell in love with this book. I could not put it down. I felt every emotion that the two lovers felt, I cried more than once. It was actually a story I didn't want to end. I would love to find a love like Callie and Talis. This is definetly a book I would recommend.

One of my all time favorite books. I can not count the number of times I have read this book. Time Travel romances are my favorite, so it is safe to say Outlander and Remembrance have been read so much that my first paperbacks have been long replaced and now with nook I take them with me everywhere I go.

I found myself getting a little frustrated with this book. It was sad that it took so many lifetimes for the "soul mates" to get it right. The story of Callie and Talis is very "Romeo and Juliet" like, and while touching and tragic, I didn't feel compelled to feel for the characters and their stupidity/ignorance. It's heartbreaking throughout most the book, and when the heartbreak stops it's so rushed that I felt cheated at the end. But, anyone who loves a good story about soulmates would probably enjoy this book.

I'm not a fan of time travel, but this was well-written. Good writing kept me reading.

This was the first Jude Deveraux novel I read over twenty years ago and it still holds strong as my favorite book.

I was completely engulfed by this book for an entire weekend. I long to have the love that Callie and Talis share with one another. I found myself feeling the same emotions as Callie as I was reading the book. Overall, very well written. This is the first book I have read by Deveraux but it surely will not be the last!

This is the first story I've read by this author and after reading this book it certainly won't be the last. It was powerful and moving, and oh so sad! I actually cried! The realationship between all the characters was unbreakable and this book just really took my breath away, which is really saying something coming from me.

This book was absolutely wonderful. After reading A Knight in Shining Armor I had to read another one of her books and it happened to be this one. My heart went out to the young couple. I cried my eyes out. It was a great page turner.

This is the worst book I have read of Jude,s. It was boring in places and didn't make sense. I was very disappointed and it was a waste of my money.

A beautiful love story that occurs over centuries. The soul of Callie and Talis continue to haunt one another through time. How many of us would love to find that true soul mate?

I generally like books that Jude Deveraux has written, but I thought this one was not put together very well, and I didn't like the story line. Ok, the main character has past lives, that's fine, but at one point when she goes back to her first life, I can't figure out if she is watching as a spirit, or actually in the body participating and feeling what is going on. When it gets to close to the end, the story line feels like it is being rushed to get it in under a certain amount of pages. I don't like this book, and will probably never read it again.
