This has been a refreshing cookbook! There are recipes in here that have become favorites for my family (panko parmesan chicken cutlets, lemongrass pork meatballs with vermicelli, flank steak with salsa verde) and recipes that have stretched what I thought were the limits of my abilities (coconut creme party cake, which came out PERFECTLY because I followed the directions). I feel like the author is talking to me as a friend would, sharing a recipe I've asked for after eating it at her house. A lovely book with nice stories before and delicious results at the end of each recipe.
