4.5 Stars! Oh where to start on this book, I completely enjoyed the story on many levels. The main characters, Blaze and Jason, were just completely perfect in my opinion. The plot line of the story was really thought out in my opinion. There was the right balance between drama, suspense and romance in the book that keeps you turning the pages. I am a complete sucker for books that the characters actually face “real life” problems, no matter who they are. And in this book, Blaze and Jason do face problems in their relationship. Granted they aren’t exactly what we face on our day to day lives, but taking into account what their lives are like, they are pretty serious problems. Even the minor characters in the story have such a big role in the book that it adds to the story on so many levels. The way that Blaze’s parents are, that helps to show how he has become the way he is. Jason’s past does come back to haunt him on occasion and it was really good to see that happen because it shows that even though he has things together on the outside, inside he is still a person. This book is very fast paced, yet I didn’t feel like there was anything left out from the story. I was able to follow along with the relationship that was forming, and being able to see things from both sides was great. The sex between Blaze and Jason was completely off the charts amazing! It was written extremely well in my opinion and it wasn’t overplayed like in some books. This book was more a romance with sex on the side. Not just sex with romance on the side. The only question that I have after reading this book is when do I get more Jason??? I completely fell in love with him during this book and I can’t wait for more of their story.

This is a story about a guitar player Blaze, who has just picked up his first real gig playing for a singer, Cassie. And Jason her manager, Jason is a few years older than Blaze but because of a college relationship that ended badly. He has shied away from anything longer then a one night stand. Blaze, is still a virgin but has known for a while that he is gay. Blaze has been called to an interview for Cassie’s tour band and Jason is the one listening. There is an insta-love, lust, attraction between the two that is acted upon pretty quickly and frequently.  However, Cassie seems to have an issue with this and tries to stop the whole affair. Can Jason and Blaze see through her deception?  This was my first Lori Toland book, and I really enjoyed it. It’s heavy on the sex but also manages to give us plot, a little depth of characters and a story line that flows nicely. My big issue was that both MC’s were quick to judge each other and then quick to forgive. Little less sex and little more communication would be nice. I was given this in exchange for an honest review by Crystals Many reviews

5 stars = I freaking LOVED this book In the first book of the series, we meet Blaze and Jason as they are first meeting each other. While their attraction to one another is instantaneous, neither believes that the other could possibly be interested in him and each is determined to keep his feelings to himself. As best as I could determine, because the passage of time was a little difficult for me to determine at times, they seemed to stick to their internal decision for only a few days. Initially I felt that Blaze's admission and the initiation of their relationship occurred rather quickly, but I had to remind myself that Blaze is young and if his parents' disapproval had taught him nothing else, it taught him that if he wanted something it was up to him to make it happen. As the book title started, Blaze is The Replacement Guitarist. When he gets the opportunity to audition for lead guitarist in a band, he didn't know just how much his life was going to change that day. Not only did he land his dream job, but he found the person that turned his world upside down. Jason had made quite the name for himself as a manager in the music industry and despite ample opportunity, he refuses to mix business with pleasure ... until Blaze. As would be expected when one of the partners in a relationship is called Blaze, the sex is HOT and if you can believe it, the heat factor increases exponentially because of Blaze's inexperience ... there's nothing like an eager-to-learn student. But the sex is only a part of what makes this such a great book.  The relationship development between Blaze and Jason is a joy to read as these two men find love, quite possibly for the first time, with one another. Ms. Toland has penned a beautiful love story with just the right amount of sexy fun times that kept me engaged from beginning to end; the requisite scheming bee-yotch to hate is just an added bonus. I look forward to reading the next book in the series as I can't wait to see what happens next.
