Is it love at first sight, or a gamble of fate?

Captain James Harlow, third son of a viscount, expects nothing from life and yearns for adventure. He gets his wish when he's overcome by a group of young miscreants with ties to the peerage, losing his hand in the encounter…and nearly his life. If not for a mysterious mermaid who emerges from the depths to save him.

Ione isn't like the other Nereids. Her scales and hair aren't as bold in color, and she has no desire to drown the mortals she mates with. So when a handsome mortal is left to die in the sea before her eyes, she can't stop herself from saving him—and trading her fins for legs to follow him on land.

With only three days to determine if they belong together, the pair are caught in the midst of a sociopath's schemes to tear James' life asunder. But can the young earl be stopped before he harms anyone else?

Rescued by a Sea Nymph by Rebekah Lewis is a fantasy romance about a Sea Nymph that fell in love with a mortal man. I listened to this book on audio narrated by Megan Green. Megan Green did a great job narrating. I loved her accent throughout this book. This is the first book of Rebekah Lewis's that I have read and look forward to reading more of her books in the future. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes historical paranormal romances.

(Review with spoilers) Nice romance. I loved it. James is the third son of his family. He captains a ship He is attacked by a young man who wants his ship and his business, and thrown into the sea to die. He is rescued by Ione when he thought he will die. Ione is a mermaid, And she asks Poseidon for help to save him. Ione wants to leave her life behind. XHer sisters are gone, and she is unhappy because no one sees her as she is. I loved James. He's a smuggler, but he's also a good man who cares about his crew, and would do anything to protect his family. He wants to be with Ione, to share his life with her, although he doesn't understand what she sees in him.. Ione is generous. She helps James without expecting anything in return. She didn't expect to fall in love. She wanted to live on land before she met him, and then she wanted to share everything with him. He didn't want to decide for her, nor did he needs to rescue her. James had lived an empty life until he met her. He wasn't happy. Now he is. He wants to share his life with a wonderful woman who gives up her past for him. He doesn't feel worthy of her, but he is, because he leaves her... Because he wants her to be herself, not to change. Both of them feel that they are not worthy of the other. The two love each other from the first moment. Both want to care for and protect the other. I loved them together, Ione's mischievousness, James' romantic side. And I love the ring scene. I received an ARC from the author, and this is my honest review.

Iona isn’t like other mermaids she doesn’t kill her conquests not like her sisters and when she saves a man in the ocean she trades her Finns for legs and she has 3 days to find out if James is her love mate for life. James is the 3rd son of a Viscount his life is boring and he wants some adventure in his life and he definitely finds that when he gets attacked by a gang of ruffians and thrown into the ocean to die. This is a fantastic story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

A well-written story that held my interest until the last page. There is suspense, drama, danger, an villain who cares for no one but himself, Poseidon, and romance. I want to read the next book in this series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I was a bit dubious when I started this thinking it was just a run of the mill romance set in the times of pirates, is not really my cup of tea!, but I have to admit I was very pleasantly surprised and very glad I persevered!! It has humour, drama and no small bit of mythology thrown in too! I loved the whole in the end and it was well written with good descriptions and no-one was perfect!! The ending, too, was satisfactory! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
