In RESCUED BY LOVE...

Addison Dahl is excited to return to Elpitha Island for her best friend Gabriella’s wedding. A weekend of sun and fun is just what she needs before setting out on her newest adventure—roughing it in the wilderness. Addison is tough, she’s independent, and she doesn’t “do” feelings toward men. But lately her friend—and Gabriella’s brother-in-law—sinfully sexy and ornery-as-hell Jake Ryder has been the star of her late-night fantasies, and she can’t get him out of her mind. It doesn’t help that the chemistry between them is scorching hot. With any luck, a few days in the wilderness will snap that craziness out of her head.

As a top search and rescue professional, Jake Ryder spends his days saving those in need and his nights in the arms of willing women who offer nothing more than a few hours of sexual enjoyment. But there’s only one woman he wants, and he’s spent the last several months trying to get beautiful, smart, and sassy Addison to give him one sinful night. He’s sure one night will lead to more.

The night of the wedding the heat between Jake and Addy ignites, and they’re powerless to resist their explosive passion. Wild kisses, sensual touches, and heartfelt conversations brings them closer together, and when the weekend ends, Jake is determined to keep Addy close and make her his. But Addy has other plans…

ADDISON DAHL LEANED against the outdoor bar, surrounded by all the beauty an evening wedding on Elpitha Island, a small stretch of land off the coast of South Carolina, had to offer. Couples danced beneath twinkling lights, children darted across the lawn with sparklers in hand, laughing and making designs against the night sky. With ocean views as far as the eye could see, island music sailing through the air, and a lighthouse standing sentinel, Addy’s best friend, Gabriella, married her forever love, investor Duke Ryder. Tonight was bittersweet. Addison had worked as Gabriella’s legal assistant for several years, and now Gabriella was talking about starting a family and cutting back on her practice. She and Duke were leaving for their honeymoon in a couple days, and Addy was leaving for ten days of soul-searching in the mountains in upstate New York. She couldn’t help wondering how different their lives would be when they returned from their trips.

“They look happy, don’t they?” Trish, Duke’s younger sister and Addy’s friend, joined her by the bar. A lock of her dark hair swept across her cheek with the breeze, and she tucked it behind her ear, her eyes dancing with excitement. She’d been absolutely glowing since her fiancé, rock star Boone Stryker, had proposed to her earlier in the evening. He’d surprised her not only with a ring, but also with a wedding that was scheduled to take place the day after tomorrow right there on the island.

“Blissfully happy,” Addy agreed. Duke, an investor, was beautifying Elpitha, where Gabriella had grown up. He was single-handedly making all of Gabriella’s dreams come true. Addy was happy for her friend, but her needs were vastly different. As the daughter of a world-renowned fashion designer, she didn’t want or need a man to take care of her. She’d had enough of that for a lifetime. At almost thirty years old, she doubted she’d ever meet a man fierce, smart, and passionate enough to hold her interest for a week, much less forever. Addy had never felt anything beyond turned on for any man, and at this point she assumed it was just how she was wired. Which, apparently, was vastly different from the head-over-heels-in-love women she was currently surrounded by.

“I’m so glad Boone decided to get married here,” Trish said dreamily. “I couldn’t have asked for a more romantic setting.”

Elpitha was the epitome of romantic, but life moved too slow for Addy on the tiny island, and the Internet moved even slower. She needed excitement the way others craved downtime, which was what she loved most about living in New York City.

“Speaking of romance,” Trish said conspiratorially, “Jake hasn’t taken his eyes off of you all night.”

Addy forced herself not to glance at Trish’s older, arrogant, fast-talking, hotter-than-sin brother she’d been hard-core fantasizing about since she’d met him several months ago. She really needed to get him out of her head once and for all, because he was starting to mess with her mind. It didn’t help that he hit on her every time they were together, which was often, because Addy joined Gabriella and Duke, along with several of his siblings—almost always including Jake—for drinks or dinner about every other week. Hopefully her ten days away would get the sexy player out of her head for good.

Love in Bloom: Rescued By Love Jake and Addy’s Story Sexy Bartender and a Smart-Mouthed Sports Agent…mix them together and what do you get? You get an explosive love story that makes you swoon and beg for more! Melissa Foster has a talent for bringing stories to life and make you feel like the characters are your best friends. Jake Ryde, is a sexy, tattooed, motorcycle riding bad boy who isn’t so bad after all. Jake and his family lost his sister to cancer when she was a little girl. The scars from her death not only affected Jake but is whole family suffers in silence until Addy. Addy is the only girl in a family of all boys. Her father and brothers all have been involved professional sports in some way or other. She is tough, serious, and the owner of her own sports agency. She doesn’t play when it comes to her business and she’s recently moved her business from LA to New York in order to be closer to her family. When Jake spots Addy in his bar, he immediately feels a connection. She, on the other hand, wasn't interested in anything long term. He convinces her to try and along the way, they fall so hard in love that there was no looking back. Addy couldn’t believe that she found someone that was so understanding about the demands of her job. Jake couldn’t believe that he found someone who was so understanding about his feelings dealing with the loss of his sister. Together, they realize they were meant for each other. He is her rock and she is his support. Melissa Foster writes amazing stories that are usually a part of a series, but they can all be read as stand alone novels. The Ryders in Love in Bloom Series will capture your heart.

Knee Jerk Reaction Addy's wanted to get down and dirty with Jake ever since he started flirting with her. She doesn't want to rock the boat or cause any issues with her best friend since Gabriella is making into Jake's family, do and just flirts back, walks away, compares him to every guy, and then dreams about him. Jake has wanted Addy since the first time he seen her, but she turns his advances down every time. By the time they're at his brother Duke and Gabriella's wedding on Elpitha Island, he's gotta find away to break through her stubbornness. He's just got to have her. They agree to one night, but it's one night enough? Addy doesn't have the best role models when it comes to relationships, one night stands are easier. But can she only do one night with Jake? You'll have to read RESCUED BY LOVE to find out, I cannot wait for the next story! This is another amazing love story by Melissa Foster! Due to sexual situations, this book is recommended for readers 17 and older! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book via Tasty Book Tours in exchange for an honest blog tour review. Wow. Foster rocked my world with this new Ryder book. Steamy. Hot. Search and Rescue? Sassy, independent lady? Flirty stud-muffin, who can't hold back? This has become my new favorite!

I love these books. I love the Ryders. And I have come to love the overall series Love in Bloom. I get myself a family of those that embrace love and live life to the fullest in some form or fashion. Whether it be love of life, friends, family, having a good time. This family knows how to do it right. This time around I get to see how Jake takes on falling in love. He was determined to get Addy. Once he had her, one night was not enough for him. How was he to convince this free-spirited, stubborn, independent woman that she was meant for him? Thinking one and done was a false concept for Jake. Addy knew the chemistry was more than she wanted to tackle. But the wedding, alcohol, and a bit of jealousy made for a heady combination and the resistance was down on all sides. With that deed done and the chemistry still burning hot Addy did what she had to do to save herself, but thoughts of Jake went with her everywhere she did. Jake was determined to show this woman that she was his. I had no doubts in my mind that I was going to get myself a steamy, hot, emotionally charged romance. That would make me grow deeper in love with the Ryder family. This family when they fall in love. They fall hard. Melissa Foster put out another beautiful showing. Exquisite addition to the Ryders series and the Love in Bloom series.

Jake and Addison are both stubborn as mules. They are set in their own ways and nothing will be able to move them from their predetermined courses. Or so they think. Jake and Addison's paths criss cross dramatically in this semi-attached series (no need to read them in order to enjoy this novel-but do read them! You'll love them all). Foster has created a realistic world that I enjoy returning to time and time again. The Ryder family is robust and lovable, even though they are clearly flawed human beings. I love the fact that they are not "perfect" men, because it makes me feel a little better about humanity. Maybe if the Ryders can find happiness maybe it is possible for the rest of us.

Melissa Foster has this amazing series, Love in Bloom, going. I look forward to each book – and Rescued by Love is no exception – that comes out in this series. The Ryder family definitely has caught my eye. Jake is a favorite of mine because I have outdoors experience. I have a forestry degree and have hiked many places. I’ve watched in horror as Search and Rescue operations have taken place. Now I live in mountains where these things happen almost too regularly. I cringed as I read that Addy was going into high peaks without any training or any previous experience. I have been left at trail heads before for a week or more. I know what it takes to get your camp set up and how much work living off a fire is. I also know the best foods to take with me. This book takes Jake – a search and rescue professional – into the life of Addy – a newbie to the outdoors life. Add to that the fierce independence of Addy and Jake has to restrain himself when she heads off for ten days of camping on her own. There are many twists and turns in this book, along with weddings and changes of scenery. I like that this book starts on an island and ends in the mountains more or less. There is even a period of time in New York City so all the major settings are covered. Being a mountain girl, I love the mountain scenes. Definitely pick up Melissa’s newest release, Rescued by Love, and give yourself a treat. I received this book through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

True to form Melissa Foster has created yet another story that is so full of sweet feels and scorching chemistry that you’ll be left swooning from the happy high. This is book 4 in the Ryder series but can be read as standalone. The story opens at Addison’s friends wedding and right away it’s more than apparent she and Jake, one of the Ryder brothers, are dying to get their hands on each other. I had a smile on my face right away. They were flirty, the banter was amusing and their interactions were hot. Jake is brazenly throwing all kinds of sexy innuendos Addison’s way. He THINKS he doesn’t want to settle so it’d just be great sex right? WRONG! He knows in his gut that she’s the one and like any good Ryder he won’t let it go. I thought Jake’s character was sweet, protective, understanding and undoubtedly alpha. He knew what he wanted and he was going to convince Addy he was it for her. There was simply no doubt on his part; though there were moments! Addy is typically non-emotional when it comes to men and is fiercely protective of her independence. While she is attracted to Jake, he is part of a family and group of friends that she cares a great deal about. What would happen if things turned bad all for a one night stand? The author has a real talent for creating characters that have emotional depth and are very likeable. You can’t help but connect with them and root for their happy ever after. So I was surprised to find myself a tiny bit put off by Addy’s sheer level of stubbornness. At times it bordered on immature. But the minor annoyance is definitely not enough to really detract from the overall story or their connection. I understand where she was coming from. She needs to prove something to herself and won’t let anyone mess with that…including Jake. They fit perfectly together and I was oh soooo happy with the ending. Yet another great book from Melissa Foster. If you’re looking for a romance that will leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside look no further!!

I loved this book, it's full of humor and passion, the chemistry between the two protagonists is really strong and the setting is amazing, Addison is the daughter of a famous fashion designer, a possessive father that left no freedom of choice to her and her mother. She is very independent and doesn't want to get married for fear of repeating the mistakes of her parents. She needs a very intriguing and intelligent man but she can't find anyone able to arouse her interest. The only able to succeed seems to be Jake but manages to defeat the desire to Addison's independence? The characters are adorable and well developed. Jake is sexy and charming, he loves to protect and defend women and her family. He's very romantic even if doesn't like challenging stories but his feelings towards Addy are so overwhelming as to make him change his mind. It was great to see grow and chnge their love story. It 's a very engaging story, I read the whole book in one sitting, I could not put it down.

Jake must find a lost woman. BUT Addison is NOT lost. She has lived quite the grandiose life and she has decided to change.... to change her pampered facade and show her Father and herself that she can make it on her own. Both, Jake and Addison are... shall we say a little headstrong! The interactions between them is entertaining. One thing for sure, Melissa is persistant in developing interesting and lovable characters. She is in the know on how to keep her readers entertained.

RESCUED BY LOVE is the fourth installment in Melissa Foster’s contemporary, adult THE RYDERS erotic, romance series that is part of Melissa’s Love in Bloom series. This is former Park Ranger, and Search and Rescue operative Jake Ryder, and paralegal Addison “Addy” Dahl’s story line. RESCUED BY LOVE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty although a large number of secondary and supporting characters cross over from several of Melissa’s other series. Told from dual third person perspectives (Addy and Jake) RESCUED BY LOVE focuses on the building romance between Jake Ryder and the reluctant Addison Dahl. For months Addy Dahl has pushed aside all of Jake Ryder’s attempts at seduction and romance until her best friend Gabriella’s wedding on Elpitha Island. Jake’s presence and his persistence pay off when Addy agrees to a one night stand that turns into something more. What ensues is the building relationship between Addy and Jake that meets a mountain of a roadblock when Addy’s embarks on a personal journey of freedom and independence. RESCUED BY LOVE is a story of romance, heartbreak, adventure and a happily ever after. Jake Ryder has lusted after our story line heroine for months but Addy struggles to keep the man that calls to her heart, at a distance. The $ex scenes are intimate and erotic without the use of sexually graphic language and text. Melissa Foster’s RESCUED BY LOVE is a wonderful and breathtaking tale of fated lovers; another Ryder sibling falls in love and looks forward to his happily ever after with the woman that calls to his soul. The premise is romantic and passionate; the characters are spirited and realistic; the romance is beautiful and intoxicating.

If you like contemporary romance then this is a book you are going to like! This is the fourth book in the Love in Bloom series, but it is also a great stand alone read. I love all Melissa Foster’s books. Jake and Addison who are loners which makes their falling in love quite a battle. Although it was a battle that I absolutely loved and felt it was what brought the book together. Another thing I really enjoyed in this book was the chemistry between Jake and Addison. My goodness were they hot together! I mean mega steam coming right off the pages HOT! I loved every single bit.

Review: Disclaimer - I received a free copy of this book in exchange of an honest review. When I first read the plot of this book I was like sign me up. I actually kept on waiting for Sharon to e-mail me a copy of this book to review because this is the kind of story I like to read. And when I received it, I quickly devoured it in one sitting. I was just so excited and what can I say Melissa Foster has done it again. She has given the world another sexy and romantic book for us to enjoy. I think that this is the BEST book that I have read from Melissa Foster. She has matured as a writer and it is evident in this book. The characters now, such as Addison and Jake, have more dimensions that I got to really know them after reading this book. Addison came from a comfortable upbringing thus her need to become independent and in order to do that she embarks on a camping trip for ten days alone. Her need to become independent clashes with Jake, since he wants to be with her but she does not want to become reliable to him and lose her sense of independence. I guess what drawn me to this book is Addison. I can relate to her so much especially her wanting to be independent. Growing up, I have been sheltered by my parents that I was being too dependent on them and because of that I decided to move away for college and try to live alone and independent. In a way, it is the same with Addison. I only wish that the story would focus more on the rescuing part. I though that the story would be more about Addison getting lost and Jake trying to save her. But despite lacking in those kind of action, Melissa made up for it in the actions in the bed (which were so HOT!!!!). I would totally recommend this to anyone who wants to read romantic novels. And if you like Bella Andre and Kristan Higgins books I suggest trying this book and other of Melissa Foster's books because I am sure that you would enjoy them.

Addy and Jake seemed to be the perfect pair, with the same wants and needs and neither one of them being all that shy about expressing those needs and wants. But while Jake is ready for more than one night, Addy thinks differently, trying to convince herself that she doesn't want what Jake wants. I liked that she was independent and wasn't afraid to be a single woman with a healthy appetite for sex. Not every woman, after all, is looking for a white picket fence and one man to spend the rest of her life with. It did get to a point, however, that Addy became more of a stubborn heroine, someone who was overly insistent on sticking to something that, had she been honest with herself and with Jake, she had already begun to change her mind about. On the other hand, I really liked Jake. He was persistent but not overbearingly so, and I adored how he was with his family, especially since one the consistent overall themes of the series is love for family. While this may not have been my favorite book in the series, Rescued by Love was a good romance read, with tamer sex scenes than I would have anticipated. Four stars. ♥

Addy wants nothing to do with love and is fighting temptation to surrender to Jake’s innuendos, because her best friend just married his brother, that would mean entereing dangerous territory. Jake has not thought about anyone but Addy since they met through his brother, and friend Gabby. Does he just need a taste to finally continue with his usual ways? It takes the right person to unlock your heart, giving you the desire to develop something more with them. And Foster delivers again, with hot passion, the love path of Addy and Jake. *An advance copy of this book was provided for review purposes*

Jake and Addy are amazing! Jake is a player, but he's straightforward about it. Addy doesn't allow herself to become emotionally attached to any man. But they've been circling around each other for months, letting their attraction build and build. After a remarkable night together they each have feelings but they're both too stubborn to do anything about it. So Addy moves forward with her plan to explore the wilderness, and Jake licks his wounds. When Addy goes incommunicado Jake is called to rescue her. But Addy isn't lost, and she isn't looking for Jake to find her. But will love find them both? I adore how stubborn and sweet and loving Addy and Jake are! I love watching their relationship bloom, and watching how they interact with their family and friends. This is a wonderful addition to the Love in Bloom series. I received this book through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

Addison and Jake are one night stand pros, no feelings involved, no worries about the next day. That is until they hook up together. After circling each other with innuendos for months it finally happens and it is more than they ever expect. The “rules” are broken and everything changes for them. I am not big on one night stands but it seems to work for them. I enjoyed the circling of these two and it was impossible not to feel the sparks between the two of them well before they hooked up. The heat and attraction was amazing, maybe one of the hottest that Melissa Foster has ever written. Once again, the family and friendships are amazing. They are still my favorite parts of the Love in Bloom series. They are real and true. They support, love, and accept each other without question.

3.5 stars RESCUED BY LOVE is another Melissa Foster hit. There is something about her books, that I adore. Her writing style and story telling gets me to fall in love with every book. I usually get tired with a series after a while. But with her series, I never do Jake Ryder has come to Elpitha Island for a wedding. Addison Dahl is also there for the same wedding. Having met in the past, Jake and Addison have somewhat of a flirty history. Jake wants nothing more but to start something with Addison. But Addison in not much for relationships. She is just visiting to have fun at her friend's wedding. Nothing more. There is no denying the chemistry and pull that Addison and Jake have together. Can Addison get over her fears and give into Jake for one weekend? I loved Jake, I thought Addison was ok... not the best heroine from Melissa Foster. Overall, this was a good book. But, not my favorite in the series.

I’m deeply in love with all the Ryders! I mean it! Every single one! Jake Ryder is a SAR professional, he’s committed to his job because there’s nothing more he loves than being outdoors, he’s also, like all the Ryders brothers, a gorgeous alpha male who has been lusting after Addy, his sister in law’s best friend, for months. Even though, he’s been relentless pursuing and charming her, Addy’s still resisting the chemistry between them and that’s driving him crazy. Addy is a stubborn independent woman, she’s the queen of one night stands and she’s perfectly happy in her skin. But then she meets Jake, she knows she can’t give in to their mutual attraction because Jake is her best friend’s brother in law and they keep running into each other. Jake is off limits, even if he’s trying so damn hard to drive her crazy. At Duke and Gabriella’s wedding, hot steamy looks, tequila and a little bit if jealousy finally tear down Addy’s resistance but after one night, Addy can’t keep Jake out of her mind. And Jake, after finally having Addy where he wants her, realizes that he’s in for the fight of his life. Jake and Addy are two of a kind, really perfect to each other and I couldn’t stop reading their story. It was so intense that I just couldn’t put my e-reader down! The banter, the flirting, the chemistry between them was absolutely incredible. I loved Jake so much, he’s the perfect mix of sweet, alpha, protective, romantic and sexy. I also loved all the Ryder family moments (especially Cash & Sienna and Trish & Boone because they are still my 2 top favorite couples in this series). Rescued by Love can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading the complete series. Melissa Foster delivered another perfectly balanced hot, steamy, emotional romance. I literally can’t wait for Gage’s book!

Stubborn and hard headed can create an explosive relationship. This is definitely so for Jake and Addison. This book was an enjoyable read that is so intense it will draw you in so that you will not be able to put the book down. There is so much chemistry between the characters that will have you believing in love again. A dangerous flirting game led to something neither expected however they both wanted whether they knew it or not. Jake is just the type of alpha man that the independent Addy needs. When you are looking for your go-to author, then Melissa Foster is it. I have not read a book by M. Foster that I don’t like. Each story captivates you and pulls you in. When you get to the end of the book you want to pick up another book by her to keep reading. There is always a character that you can relate to in her books and this is no different. The characters become your friends and family with each book you read. This was a book that captivated me from the beginning to the end. You can’t help but fall in love with the characters in the book; some even more than others once you learn their history and what has made them the way that they are.

A feisty Addison that won't say yes to being helped Addison is one of my fave characters from the Ryder's men. She is very feisty and won't say yes to being helped. She is very stubborn in a good way. I can relate to that character. I loved that she has her own mind and wants to explore the world by herself. She is very fearful and adventurous. Jake on the other hand is not afraid to lend his hand to rescue Addison. This hunk is very resourceful and has a heart of gold. He can swoon you like crazy, just be aware when you read this book. This story is like cats and dogs chasing each other. Addison and Jake's attraction is undeniable but as always Addison is hard-headed and won't reveal her true feelings for Jake though it is obvious. Love is fearful and willing to risk. This book is very sweet but very hot as well.

“Rescued by Love” is full of sizzling chemistry and tension, flirting, good friends, and family. Something that I love about Foster’s books are that although there are main characters that may have some seriously hot moments, there is also a huge presence of family morals and love. Moreover, even if you don’t read every book in a series, she provides enough back story so that there is no confusion about what is going on with the various family members. I must say that I almost always fall in love with her leading men, but the women are always just as strong and likable characters as the men. Jake and Addy’s story was absolutely fantastic from the first page and I never got up from my chair until I finished the last word. This book is a smart, funny, and heart-warming contemporary romance with just the right amount of hot, steamy scenes. I have absolutely nothing to say that is negative about this fabulous story! *Thanks to Beck Valley Book Tours for providing a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The attraction between Jake and Addie cannot be denied, no matter how much she tries to ignore it. He's been propositioning her for months, but she refuses, thinking it could damage the relationship between her and Jake's family. She finally gives in thinking it will be just like all her other one night stands, but Jake wants more than one night, and so does she. It was interesting to see Jake change his playboy ways so easily while Addie struggles with losing her independence if she is in a relationship. I loved the way she slowly realizes that loving someone, being with them and sometimes needing their help does not take away from who she is or what she wants. My only negative is that she was a bit too stubborn for me and it was frustrating the way she kept pushing Jake away. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. I was not compensated for this review, all conclusions are my own.

Jake Ryder is a known player, that is until his latest mission is to get his new sister-in-law's best friend into bed!! Addy and Jake have this amazing chemistry and back and fourth banter that will have you laughing and enjoying this spicy hot read. These two have been flirting with each other for months now and the lead up to when they come together will have you on the edge of your seat as it is seriously explosive. Both have their own issues to over come and the path they take isn't always an easy one but is definitely needed so they can both learn from it. This was an excellent read and 100% worth a go for any Melissa Foster fans, it's not all about the sex, Jake and Addy have a deep connection and they seem to get each other more than anyone else!! At times it was emotional and there were plenty of jaw dropping moments, but best of all the characters were captivating and very relatable. An excellent addition to the Ryder stories, can't wait for more!!!

4 1/2 STARS! Melissa Foster has quite a way with words when she creates a sexy bad boy! He might be slightly arrogant and a total player, but he’s adorably endearing and we have to fall for him anyway! These Ryders are quite the bunch … a great, close-knit family that is always there to love and support each other. I enjoy them so much … and can’t wait for more! Jake Ryder has been lusting after Addison Dahl for months now, but she’s been playing hard to get. He knows he gets to her, but she refuses to give in and have a fling with him. He works hard as a Search and Rescue guy, but when he has some down time, he lives to enjoy life … and preferably a sexy woman! Addy isn’t as immune to Jake’s charms as she tries to pretend. She honestly hasn’t been able to get him off her mind in the months since they first met and he turned on the heated charm. She doesn’t do feelings for a man … she just has a good time and lives for herself, so she’s NOT happy that this guy will not get out of her head! She’s looking forward to getting away for a few days in the mountains and hopes that will give her a fresh perspective. When temptation gets to be too much and they share a night together, will they be able to walk away?
