Ford "Truck" Laughlin and Mary Weston have weathered their share of storms over the last couple years. Truck's job, Mary's health. His bossiness, her bitchiness. All while dancing around their intense attraction. Mary's tried to push him away for his own good but Truck won't let her give up...on herself or on them. Just when she decides they deserve a fair shot, disaster strikes.

Truck has wanted Mary since the moment he saw her. The prickly woman pushes all his buttons and looks beyond his scarred exterior, something few women have managed. His plan to take their relationship to the next level is stalled when he's injured on a mission. And he's barely feeling like his old self again before the couple is dealt another blow, one that could permanently end their chances...and their lives.

**Rescuing Mary is the 9th book in the Delta Force Heroes Series. Usually my books are stand-alones, but in this case, I feel you would get more enjoyment out of the story if you read the other books first, since Mary and Truck's relationship evolves throughout the series. If nothing else, I recommend reading the first book in the series, Rescuing Rayne, where their relationship began.

Thank you for Truck and Mary's story.. I cried, laughed and really loved their story. I am a stage 3 breast cancer survivor, when Truck read Mary's journal, it was like my story on how I was feeling during my time... it helped, because I cried so hard, I actually felt lighter after. I read the book in one day and into the night.. thank you for a amazing book... I love the Delta series, really all of them (Seals). Looking forward to the new series coming with Trigger and his men...

Exciting and Emotional! I really enjoyed reading Truck and Mary’s story, FINALLY!! LOL!! Seriously, this story was well worth the wait. It was exciting at the same time being emotional and sexy. I loved the twists and turns this story had and it was a beautiful ending to a long journey.

This was the book I had been waiting for and it didn't disappoint in any way shape or form. Mostly what we have seen of Mary till now has been snarky or prickly, here we find out why she is the way she is with others and why she keeps Truck at a distance. We learn to understand her as we get her history. This story isn't plain sailing, already these two have been through some really hard stuff and it doesn't ease off. An injury on a mission means its Truck that needs looking after and understanding, many would see this as a set back and in some ways it is but in others it means going back to basics and then moving forward. There is some suspense and excitement, some violence and threats to safety. Mostly this is a moving story of two people finding their way to a better understanding of each other and making their relationship into what they both really want. It is also about this amazing group of friends pulling together to support each other in whatever way is needed. I loved the extra bits at the end, the hints at who the targets are in the new series and Annie, who stole my heart way back in Emily's book and has kept it ever since. I also had my fingers crossed throughout reading this that all would eventually be ok.

What an emotional roller coaster! Loved the ride, you laugh and you cry. The journey Truck and Mary take pulls you in from the very first page and you cannot stop until you reach the end. But yet you don’t want it to end.

Loved it! This author writes connected series, so when you fall in love with her characters, (and you will,) you get to visit them in other books. If you see her name, buy it, you won't be disappointed.

Great finish to the story arc for two characters who, if you've followed the series, deserves their HEA.

This is going to be such a hard review to leave. Mainly because there is so much in this story and I don't wanna give anything away. This is Delta Force Heroes #9, Truck and Mary's story. Truck has been my BH since Rescuing Rayne. I was so worried about what Susan Stoker would do with this story. Would she do my most favorite character justice? Would that "woman" (Mary) be deserving of such a great man? Well, Susan Stoker blew this story out of the water!! There was so much of everything in this book: friendship, killer boobies, marriage, bombs, injury, love, parties, futuristic epilogues of all of the characters (like in the final Seals of Protection book), and meeting the next Delta Team! (I've already "claimed" my new BH ~ Bwahahahahaha). This book comes with feels, laughs, oh no she didn'ts, and every single thing inbewteen. So... Will Mary finally be deserving of Truck and his unconditional love? Do they make it past whatever Susan Stoker has come up with to test them? (WOW! It's a doozy too) he he he Do they ever get that Quadruple wedding from book 8?? What does that even look like? Does Annie finally get her baby brother?? or does she have to put up with a freaking, boring sister??

RESCUING MARY by Susan Stoker! Oh - the feels! There are so many feels in this book. Ms. Stoker is able to evoke such emotions throughout. Often, without even realizing it, tears were streaming down my cheeks and then, I'd be chuckling and smiling. For Susan Stoker fans, this has been the one we have been waiting for for what seemed like forever and, oh boy, Ms. Stoker did not disappoint us! Truck and Mary have lived throughout the Delta Force Series and, with each book, we grew to like them and know them better and better. Ok, I might not have always liked Mary. But, after reading this tale, I LOVE Mary now. Truck is Truck - a super alpha teddy bear. I adore him. There are twists and turns I didn't see coming and ups and downs just like real life, and of course, a bit of danger too. Of course, Ms. Stoker offers a tease or two for upcoming stories, that, I personally cannot wait for. And the epilogue was delicious too! Such a great story to finish out this series and wrap it all up.

This is the 9th and final book in the Delta Force Heroes series, although there is an offshoot series coming. You absolutely must read the previous books before you read this book so you can see everything that leads up to this book and how this relationship has come to be. This is Mary and Truck's book-FINALLY!! Truck and Mary have finally gotten through what was supposed to be the toughest things in their lives-her having cancer and almost dying and him pushing her and fighting for her every step of the way. After the what happened in the last book, the men are back on the same page and are working towards a common goal of getting the women back together. This is all happening while Truck and Mary are trying to figure out just where their relationship stands and where it will go, especially with the issues she has with not just men but people in general. But when he is injured on a mission it's now Mary's turn to not only fight for him but to realize just how much he means to her and how much she truly wants him in her life. But with other things happening besides this, can they manage to survive long enough to get everything they want and need together? I know I, along with all the other fans, have been impatiently waiting for this story for so very long!! And let me tell you, it in no way disappoints!! I loved every minute of it! Truck has always been the one that will stand for someone no matter what and he has stood beside Mary since the beginning. And after reading everything that happened to Mary starting when she was a child? Yeah, it broke my heart and made me understand why she is the way she is. But I also realized something about her. Once she gives her heart and loyalty to someone and knows absolutely that she can trust that person? She will defend and fight for them to the end! When I read about Truck and his injury, I almost thought that this was the end of the line for them. That somehow they were going to have to move on without each other and make different lives. Especially with all the feelings she was going through after her cancer treatments (I cried during those parts). I am so beyond happy to say that Mary turned into a woman I could truly love and reading about her fighting for her man was beyond anything I have read in a long time! And the interactions with Ruth just cracked me up because I know who that character was based on!! I am so sad to see this portion of the series end however, all the epilogues not only made me cry but they gave me the closure that I personally needed in order to see the characters got everything they wanted and needed in the long run. I can't wait to read the off shoot series and hope we still see cameo's from these characters in those!

great book. bittersweet to see it end. Mary's emotional rollercoaster had my head spinning. so much happens in this book. what an epilogue. the only thing i didn't like about it was the overuse of the word bitch. i get that was Mary's personality at times but i felt like it was used just a little to much and felt very distracting from the story itself

I enjoyed Mary and Truck's story, I laughed and I cried throughout it. I hated to come to the end of the Deltas but I can't wait for the new adventures Susan takes us on.
