If you'd asked me what love was two years ago, I probably would've said, 'It's this amazing feeling that obsesses and possesses you; it's what me and my husband currently have.' If you ask me that same question today, I'll say, 'Please get the hell out of my face.'

Claire Gracen's life is picture perfect. Her career as a marketing director is on the brink of being legendary, and her marriage to her high school sweetheart has never been stronger. No, wait. It has. It used to be amazing and fulfilling, but one day Claire realizes that she's been living a lie and her best friend and husband have committed the ultimate betrayal.

Broken and depressed, Claire is in need of something new--new city, new job, new friends.

When she happens to attract the interest of the sexiest man she's ever met, a man significantly younger than her, she immediately turns him down--only to later discover that this man is Jonathan Statham, self-made billionaire and CEO of Statham Industries. Her boss.

Jonathan Statham is unlike any man she's met before. He's used to getting whatever he wants--whenever he wants, and he isn't about to take no for an answer.

Sexy, unpredictable, and charmingly clever, Mid Life Love is a story that will captivate you, entertain you, and force you to fall deeply in love with the characters.

I absolutely NEVER write reviews; however, I want the author to know how much I truly enjoyed this book. It was funny - sexy and about a woman who isn't just graduating high school or 19 years old. THANK YOU - THANK YOU for writing something a middle aged woman can enjoy!!!!!

***I received an ARC for an honest review*** I absolutely loved Mid Life Love, by Whitney G.  If I could I would rate a 5+ Stars book. Mid Life Love captivated me from the very first page.  The chemistry between the main characters (Jonathon and Claire) was electric, some laughter in parts, and  twists in the story that left me speechless.  Claire has some insecurities that must be addressed before this relationship can continue.  Can Claire do it in time, or is it too late for Jonathon to forgive her?  I do have to admit that I read this story in one sitting.  No breaks at all. So curl up on your favorite couch or chair and enjoy Mid Life Love.  You definitely will be glad you got it.

I absolutely LOVED this book! It is so refreshing to read a Romance Novel that had an original story line and a slew of characters that kept me smiling, laughing and doing a double take. Claire has an amazing personality. I love the fact that she's not only beautiful and smart, but also hilariously sarcastic. I loved watching her open her self up to Jonathan and experience love and not to forget lust :). But don't get me wrong, sometimes I wanted to hit her over the head for being a hot ass mess and not giving in to Jonathan sooner. What can a woman say about Jonathan? I think we might want to petition to put a picture of him next to the word sexy in Webster, I'm just saying :). When he gave Claire "special attention" for the first time, I just wanted to melt.

It really was great for the first half but then it dragged on and on with the heroine's stupid mind games and continuous denials of her feelings. What the poor guy put up with! She lied to him, pretended he did not exist in public, pretended she did not have feelings for him, put him down and played miserably with his feelings. And her insecurities and self-justification of her outrageous behavior! Honestly, in the last chapters I just could not stand her and wished the guy would dump her for good. He was terrific and saved the book, but her... she was insuferable in her self-pity. I read romance to relax not to get this annoyed. Honestly, cannot understand the glowing reviews of a book that has such a female lead character.

Claire was happily married with twin girls when she found out that her husband was cheating on her with her best friend. She divorces him and moves her girls and herself from Pittsburgh to San Francisco to get a fresh start. It has now been 4 years since her divorce, Claire is about to turn 40 and hasn't really dated since then while her 2 friends keep trying to hook up with guys and taking her to Singles Mingles to try and meet someone. Claire hates her job and while in a meeting one day at work she comes to find out the guy she met the other night was in fact the CEO of the company she works for, 28 year old Jonathan Statham. His feelings for her are quickly known and she struggles with her feelings for him because of the age difference between them and hurt her Ex caused by cheating on her. We read about their struggles as any couple would have to find out whether or not they are together in the end. I loved that it was about a female more my age again. Claire was a bit annoying at times, that's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, with not wanting to basically be seen in public with Jonathan, like she was ashamed to be seen with him or something, but that didn't stop me from devouring this book. I couldn't read it fast enough. It's definitely a book I will reread in the future!

This book totally frustrated me! The characters acted ridiculously at times. Seriously who has sex in a business meeting and no one is aware of it? Some of the situations are just absurd ! And can't the characters have honest emotions instead of playing emotional games? I found it to be totally unbelievable and the characters are immature and too unrealistic to make sense!

Engaging, Intense, Steamy and So Much Fun! I received this eARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. 4.5 Astounding Stars! The Review: Mid Life Love is a wonderful, fulfilling, romantic, spicy tale of two people coming together despite downfall! This heart-stirring and well written story matched with compelling and passionate characters made for a most excellent read and I am so glad I was asked to read and review it by the author! Story... Claire Gracen has been trying to cope over the last four years with the betrayal of her ex-husband and ex-best friend. She's raising two teenage daughters, working at a job she hates and trying to survive the tedious singles-meets her friends keep taking her to. She wants to move on from the treachery but her will is broken. She is broken. In walks Jonathan Statham, the CEO of the company she works for and he literally turns her world into one long, romantic gesture that she tries desperately to hide and resist. He's eleven years younger than her and she thinks there's no future in their relationship. Characters... Claire... Sometimes I loved Claire... sometimes she infuriated! Claire was the quintessential jilted woman. She fell victim to the divorce game. The circumstances were destructive and it shattered her self-esteem, leaving her rethinking everything she thought she knew, what she thought was true about herself and left her doubting herself as a person, as a wife and as a woman. I understood her conflict. When she meets Jonathan, she wants to give into the new desires he stirs within her but she's reluctant because of the age gap and the huge ego blow she's taken from her cheating ex. She thinks she can't be that sexy, beautiful women now that she's divorced with two teenage kids. She thinks she's damaged goods. So I get why she acted the way she did, but her character left me conflicted as she irritated me at some points, left me fire mad at others and then softened me with her sweet and caring side on the rare occasion. Claire has this trusting, wonderful, sincere man ready to take on the world for her and she treated him like she was ashamed of him. She was sometimes too rude and not in the playful bantering way that become customary between them but in a harsh way that was hurtful and soul crushing. She couldn't trust what she and Jonathan had and it felt like she didn't even want to try at times. Jonathan... Sometimes I loved Jonathan... sometimes I just wanted to throw him down and have my wicked way with him! Jonathan is the absolutely perfect hero. *swooooon* He's brilliant, savvy, unbelievably handsome, has an excellent head on his shoulders and he's important and wealthy but he's not arrogant. He's demanding and passionate and when he unleashes his alpha male (OMG - *fans self*), he is INCREDIBLY YUMMY!!! Jonathan had a horrific childhood but it didn't leave him dark or terribly scarred. However, what I loved most about him was he was affectionate and indulgent with Claire, always putting her first. He took her hang-ups, her desires and her apprehension into account in everything they did. Even to his own disadvantage. I felt like Claire didn't deserve him most of the time. He was so giving and loving and as bad as his past was, he deserved someone who was going to put his needs and his desires before themselves.. in everything! But... There's a bit of a twist that I DID NOT see coming and once it was spelled out, it made a lot more sense than Claire just being insufferable. I loved that I didn't see it coming to, because it made the realization much more piteous and I truly felt bad for Claire... But I'm still mad at her! lol! The Ending... My stomach was in knots the last seventy five pages! Angsty doesn't even begin to describe the way that part of the story unfolded. I was so filled with apprehension, I had to put the book aside and gather myself before I could read the last ten pages! THATS when you know you have an incredible read... When the emotions are so intense, you have to step away to get some air before continuing on. Loved it! The Wrap Up: Claire was the only reason I didn't give this a full five stars. I wanted to, believe me. But she was just too dislikable at times. She needed some serious redeeming for me to really fall in love with her character and we didn't get to see enough of it before the book ended. However, between laughter at all the ridiculous sPhone slogans, the flamboyant conversations on girls night out, the twins amusing competitive talk, being charmed and seduced by the interactions between the mains and the anxiety at the climax, I experienced a range of emotions while reading Mid Life Love. And once I started it, I simply didn't want to put it down and I spent my entire Saturday reading and loving this book!

This I nota cliffhanger, but it is a part of a series. Claire was married to her high school sweetheart. They were parents of twin daughters, and their lives were perfected. Until her best friend's husband tore her life apart. Apparently since before their marriage, her husband and best friend had feelings for each other. Now her best friend was pregnant with her husband's child. Claire remade her life across the country. Her mother lived there and she found a great job that she hated. Her daughters thrived and her life was settling in. She was fast approaching 40 and she felt as though her life was lived. Jonathan was old as a child. His parents were idiots addicted to drugs who forgot to feed their children. They locked their children in the trailer, forgotten, unfed, and alone! Jonathan became a man of worth because his talent was his ability to understand technology. Claire had low self esteem. Jonathan had minimal intinmate contact. Jonathan could not understand why 12 years difference in age was a big deal. Claire had little trust that there was anything more than sex involved. The story did skip pertinent data and then they dropped back in time so that you understood why Claire lost her self confidence. The author used over 300 pages to get through the complicated plot. You may enjoy this more than I!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. There aren't enough 40 year old characters out there. At least not ones that I really could understand and relate to.  A friend of mine recently went through something similar and everything Claire was stressing over, so was my friend. In that sense, the realism was dead on. Claire's about to turn 40, is divorced after a 14 year marriage to her high school sweetheart and moved to the other side of the country to start over. Jonathan sees her and is instantly smitten. When he goes to meet her, she's gone. As fate would have it, they run into each other at the grocery store. She turns him down because he's too young. Circumstances put them in the same place at the same time many, many times. She finally agrees to a date and then stands him up. He's furious, but is so drawn to her that he keeps pursueing Claire. They eventually begin a relationship but she refuses to define it. She also refuses to be seen in public with him. Claire has a lot of insecurities - mostly due to the way her marriage fell apart and the idea that Jonathan will leave when someone younger comes around and catches his eye. His mother and a member on the board that wants to be Jonathan's other half play a key role by basically shoving Claire's own insecurities down her throat. The way Claire comes to terms with herself towards the end and publicly deals with all that has bothered her is inspiring. Jonathan has the patience of a saint but loves her dearly and waits for her to catch up for most of the book. There was no cliff and this can be read as a stand alone. There is a continuation to this story and I plan on picking that book up in the very near future. I purchased this book shortly after it was released and the most disappointing thing about this is that is took me this long to read it. I've been kicking myself for missing out on Jonathan's love. And I would not have a problem with Jonathan loving me...I don't think. I look forward to reading more from Whitney as she has a gift - a talent - at creating characters you can get lost in and lose all track of time. I highly recommend this to be read by all.

Whitney Gracia Williams did an excellent job with Mid Life Love, which in my opinion is an incredibly well written book. I will admit to more then a few moments of wanting to jerk Jonathan's overbearing chain around, but he was the alpha male and seemed out to prove he was  top alpha/jerk. I'd highly recommend this book to any romance reader."

I loved Loved this book. I felt captivated from the very beginning. I fell in love with Jonathan and liked the fact that the story was more real life and not about teenage characters. I am currently reading the second book and loving it just as much! I will be looking more from this author.

Mid Life Love is the perfect title for Whitney Gracia Williams’ new romance novel, because it depicts how our hearts not only allows us to love once in our lives but also sometimes grows even larger as we live through new experiences allowing us to love again. Please note this is a beautiful LOVE story, which will you feeling many emotions as the characters do, you will find yourself CRYING, LAUGHING, CRYING, and FALLING in LOVE again. Claire Gracen thought she her marriage with Ryan Hayes was her true real life fairytale and everything she wanted in a man, because he also gave her two beautiful twin daughters Ashley and Caroline. Unfortunately, her dream was quickly turning into horror because she discovers her husband had been having an affair for over a year. With her world falling apart, she divorces her husband, packs her possessions and moves with her daughters from Pittsburg to San Francisco to start new life. Claire is on the brink of becoming forty years old, so she starts making changes to her new life with a new wardrobe, new workout plan, spa treatments, and frequent hair appointments. After living in San Francisco for four years, Claire meets Jonathan Statham, could grace the cover as a Ralph Lauren male model with blue eyes, chiseled jaw line, and full-defined lips, and his only 28 years old. Claire cannot help that the age difference is significance for to stay away from him even though there is chemistry between them. However, the most important fact is he is the CEO of Statham Industries, her place of employment. Jonathan has also had his share of heartache with his own family growing up, so he starts to share this with Claire and she begins to bring her barriers down. But the more she learns about Jonathan and the childhood nightmare he experienced to get where he is today, the walls around her heart begin to crumble.  But will all the secrets, the challenges keep them apart or bring the closer? Will Jonathan win Claire’s heart? Will Jonathan’s age difference be too much for Claire to handle? While reading, you will find yourself on an emotional roller coaster experiencing many emotions like happiness, hot scenes, and funny scenes. Mid Life Love is Whitney Gracia Williams’ first novel in the series, so do not be disappointed when you discover the book ends, Claire and Jonathan story is not finished. Whitney is currently writing the second book in the series, Mid Life Love: At Last, so stay tuned to find out what occurs next with Claire and Jonathan. I rate Whitney Gracia Williams’ first novel in the series, Mid Life Love - 5 HOT STARS!

Star Rating: 4.5 stars! Heat Rating: HOT HOT! I am going to admit something....  I have had this book in my Kindle for over a month (maybe more) and every time I went to pull it up, I found something else to read.  You see, I was assuming this was going to be a book about a woman going through a divorce who would be bitter and it would dwell on the breakup of a marriage (not my thing).  Well, you know what they say about ASSuming things. I will admit it here: I was WRONG!!  Mid Life Love BLEW ME AWAY!! This book was such a treat to read and I was wrong to assume anything bad about this wonderful story.  I feel bad enough about my pre-judgement, that I thought I would confess to you all and help you from making the same mistake I made.  Do not let this book sit on the shelf, trust me, you want to meet Jonathan! (He doesn't like to be ignored) Whitney Gracia Williams wrote one powerful, funny, charming, emotionally intense and sexy as hell story!  I started this book on a plane before my weekend getaway with friends and I can honestly say that I spent many hours pining for this book and sneaking away to read just a few more pages!  It was addicting, like Oreos (you can't just walk away from that deliciousness, can you?) and I was actually happy when my plane got delayed for 3 hours so I had more uninterrupted time with Claire and Jonathan! Mid Life Love is a fantastic story, it has great pacing and compelling characters that make you want to dig in and learn all of their secrets.  Whitney Gracia Williams crafted characters that were real, they had flaws, insecurities and issues they had to work through.  I enjoyed the change this plot line took, having Claire older than Jonathan! As much as I love my traditional romances, it is very refreshing when you get an author to shake up the expected and create something brilliant out of the unexpected. Jonathan has definitely made into my top 5 favorite book boyfriends!  I loved his character and he came across as genuine.  Jonathan didn't start with the perfect life and worked hard to get where he was at, never backing down from a challenge and always going after what he wanted.  He met his match in Claire, she fought him at every turn and it was a fantastic ride watching them collide and banter.  The many layers of Jonathan kept me guessing at what he would do next and kept me at the edge of my seat with his creative ways to get Claire's attention.   Claire's character was eleven years older than Jonathan and I really enjoyed this change!  I was a nice change of pace to read a female lead that was not only out of her twenties but turning forty (this may have to do with the fact I am knocking on that door myself soon).  Claire had a great life, then the bottom fell out from under her when she least expected it, forcing her to make changes and keep moving forward.  I think Claire came off as many women would when put in her situation dating a younger man and trying her best to keep it light so she doesn't get her hopes up.  I understood her  actions and her choices about her relationship with Jonathan, I did want to smack her once (maybe twice) but she was who she was and I thought it was written believably. Mid Life Love is probably one of the best books I have read in the last month.  I fell in love with this story and the characters.  The banter, wit and sexy dialogue kept me up way past my bedtime and the heart tugging, emotional roller coaster kept me turning pages as fast as I could read them.  This is a story that will make you laugh out loud, sigh with longing, steam up your Kindle screen and make your eyes misty.  I was touched by Claire and Jonathan's story and I HIGHLY recommend adding this to your reading list! I am having a hard time letting Jonathan go, but there is good news!  Mid Life Love: At Last is in the works!  (I may have squealed a bit hearing that from Whitney today)  This was my first Whitney Gracia Williams book and I have already purchased Take Two (Jilted Bride Series) since I can't wait to read more of her writing!  I am a fan and will NEVER let one her books sit in my Kindle unread again, they will get a front of the line pass from now on.
