About the Author

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author L. P. Dover is a southern belle living in North Carolina with her husband and two beautiful girls. Before she began her literary journey she worked in periodontics, enjoying the wonderment of dental surgeries. Her two youngest fans expect a concert each and every night before bedtime, usually Christmas carols. Dover has written countless novels, including her Forever Fae series, the Second Chances series, the Gloves Off series, the Armed & Dangerous series, the Royal Shifters series, the Society X series, the Circle of Justice series, and her standalone novel Love, Lies, and Deception. Her favorite genre to read and write is romantic suspense, but if she got to choose a setting in which to live, it would be with her faeries in the Land of the Fae. L.P. Dover is represented by Marisa Corvisiero of Corvisiero Literary Agency and Italia Gandolfo of Gandolfo Helin & Fountain Literary Management for dramatic rights.

This book was EVERYTHING. When you read a para book, you always look for several things in each book (or at least I do) and this book had it all. I’m in love with the characters LP brought to life. The more I meet, the more I love. I hope that I can see how far it goes and how many worlds it can connect too. Seeing your favorite characters do a crossover of sorts is insanely cool. This book will take you on several journeys and you wonder which hard-headed wolf will cave first! My vote was on Sebastian, I guess you will have to see for yourself! If you love romance, crazy, action-packed, and sexy tidbits, you will love what this book has to offer. You may love it anyway because these characters are quirky, silly, and stubborn brats lol. Don’t hold your breath too long, you may need to come up for air on some tenser scenes but you will undoubtedly love where it takes you.

Another great shifter book from L.P. Dover. When can I get the next one? Resisting the Moon is the second book in the Royal Shifters, and it’s just as good. When these characters are introduced in the first book, you can tell that they want each other but they both have some issues that are not letting them go forward. But in their book you get answers so it’s not a big deal… My thoughts… So, I really liked the direction this book went plot wise. I figured it had something to do with her past and I was right. I really liked the whole suspense thing and watching Tyla and Sebastian deal with all of their struggles. And after watching this play out, in the end they were stronger couple wise. This is a well-crafted shifter book. I thought it had just enough of romance, suspense and action. You don’t get too much of just one element. L.P. did a fabulous job with this book. Overall… L.P. did a fabulous job with this book. If you like shifter books then I would definitely recommend this series. I have loved both books in the series so far and can’t wait to see what’s next to come in the series.

Another great read by L. P. Dover. An intense page turner that I just couldn't put down. Continuing her signature style by in a way picking up where the last book left off, just from another point of view. This time around we get the opportunity to step in the paw prints of Tyla and Sebastian. Both stubborn in their own ways and destined to be together. With twist and turns, hot men, feisty women, and douchbag villians, this book sucks you in from beginning to end. You won't be disappointed. Make sure to make this a must read for 2015.

I had to the time to read this book straight through without interuptions. and I did it in less then a day. I couldn't put it down (I didn't want to either). You meet Tyla in another one of L.P. Dovers books (a lot of her books are connected in some way) and you get to see another side of her that you didn't know before. She's a wolf!!! (don't worry... it's not really a spoiler) She is going on a mission but she wont be along. Joining her is a male wolf from her past. One she wants to leave there (possible) but one she doesn't want to love. Tyla doesn't feel like she can/deserves to love again. BUt there mission takes them into deep danger and it is a high possibility that both or one of them will end of dead before it is over. Will they survive? Will they complete the mission? One of the things that I love about this book is that you get so much information but it is not packed in like sardines. You feel like you are living this story right along with the characters. To me that is the sign of a great book, one that I will read over and over again. This is a must read (I even gbought a copy for my mom)

It's been awhile since I've been able to immerse myself into a good paranormal romance book. That is until I picked up Resisting The Moon: A Royal Shifters Novel by LP Dover. This book was everything I was hoping for and looking for when I went searching for my next paranormal read. From the beginning of the book you will find yourself drawn into the story. Tyla is awesomesauce and I loved learning more about her. She's an alpha who misses her old pack which was slaughtered and is now part of Royal Pack. The same pack her true mate is part of. Tyla knows this but fights it because everyone she loves dies. Sebastian is a Royal, a Protector, and Tyla's true mate. He knows how Tyla feels and that doesn't stop him from standing by her side even when she pushes him away. He's strong, fierce, protective, and compassionate. I loved Sebastian and how deeply he cared for Tyla. A truly wonderful read that will have you drawn in from the moment you start. I enjoyed every minute of this story and was disappointed when it ended. No matter what LP Dover writes I seem to find myself drawn into her characters and story lines. I can't wait to see what she has for us next and who her next Royal Shifters Novel will be about.

Tyla is so set on believing that she doesn't deserve happiness, but hasn't given up hope. Things she believed from her past turn out to not all be what she believed. As things from her past come back to haunt her, she has to learn to deal with Sebastian who drives her crazy. Talk about chemistry, HOT chemistry! The things these two face, and how they deal with them, I found riveting, I couldn't put this down!

Resisting the Moon was a quick and enjoyable read. I thought it was a good sequel and a good addition to the series. It's sexy and fast paced. A must read for any paranormal fan looking for an entertaining read! One of my favorite things about Resisting the Moon is all the suspense and mystery throughout the story. It definitely keeps you on your toes. The character's pasts entwine with the present for a lot of twists and turns. I also enjoyed the bits of violence in the story. Some people might think it was too much, but I liked it because I feel a lot of authors wouldn't go there and I feel it adds to the suspense and heightens the emotions of the characters. It makes the story stand out. Having Sebastian experiencing the uncontrollable rage due to not being mated was really interesting too. I also really enjoyed seeing all the different members of the packs. They feel like one big family and I enjoy the chemistry between all the different characters/relationships. It was nice to reunite with the characters from book one. I liked all the characters- especially Tyla's mom. While I like the couple from book one a tiny bit better, Sebastian and Tyla are right behind them. I look forward to reading more in this series. I would love to see a book about a shifter and Tyla's boss.

Absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this new series by LP Dover! How she simply excels from genre to genre astounds me. The characters, even with their flaws, are fluent and well thought out. I can't wait for more!

Don't Resist! Just Ask and Receive! . . . Me, Oh My! Heck Yes to this second Royal Shifter novel. Loved this story and the chemistry between the main couple is undeniable hot. L.P. Dover knows how to pull at a readers heartstrings and then the next scene you'll be blushing with a fan in hand. Cursed with death following everywhere she goes and everyone she loves, Tyla Rand, is afraid to love. Tyla's worst fear becomes a reality when on a full moon she finds her true mate. That event should be a wolves greatest moment, but Tyla fears giving into love will only be the end in death like before. True born royal, Sebastian Lyall, couldn't be happier knowing he found his mate in the alpha female Tyla, but her constant rejection is pushing him farther and farther into the darkness. Headless of their relationship status, the two go on a mission together to retrieve Tyla's cousin Amelia who appears to have been kidnapped. The situation becomes more and more complicated with the enemies being more dangerous than first believed. But none of it will matter if Tyla doesn't figure out what to do with Sebastian, who is on the edge of control the longer he is unmated. Overall, Loved it! Sebastian is honestly downright hot in the "just ask and it's yours" kind of way. Any man who is at your service and gorgeous is sexy, Tyla is one lucky girl. (yeah I'm a bit jealous of a fictional character) Tyla was a strong female lead, a bit too strong at times in not wanting to be weak in love so as not to feel loss; Which I found was a bit frustrating only because Sebastian was in such a state of torment without Tyla and more importantly her love, so I began to hate her for a bit for not giving in despite her insecurities. This story brought back our fav characters from the last story and introduces new characters for books to come. One surprise character is a real game changer for Sebastian's family and I hope we get more in the next book. So if you are looking for a book about a royal wolf who is in desperate need of his mates love but she's afraid to accept their union despite their hot sparks for fear of losing him, all the while danger is lurking and may rob them of any chance of happiness, then this book is a great choice. **I received a free copy in return for an honest review** ------Read more of my reviews at: http://heyitwasfree.blogspot.com/------

L.P Dover has drawn me into the paranormal genre. Her books are so well written, how can I not want to read them and fall into another genre? The plot of the book is so awesome and so are the characters. Tyla and Sebastian are so awesome and the way they act together is great. They are so well developed and grow over the course of the plot. I would recommend this book, along with any of L.P. Dover's other books.

I love all books so far that this author has ever written. I especially love her paranormal books. I would highly recommend this book it has so much going on that it's very hard to put it down. The characters are well developed that they have three dimensional qualities you sometimes forget your reading a book. I love that it's a standalone makes it easier if you were a reader that just happened by this and wanted to pick it up. I would really want more into this series. L.p.Dover shows she has a talent to write across multiple genres without a problem. I received a copy in exchange for a honest and unbiased opinion.

What can I say, I am absolutely loving L.P. Dover’s writing. From Fae to MMA, Shifters to Undercover Agents, she hasn’t written a bad book yet. Tyla is a shifter alpha who misses her original pack. She and her parents escaped with their lives when their pack was attacked by another. At that time, the love of her life was thought to be brutally slaughtered with the rest Sebastian is a royal shifter who happens to be part of the pack Tyla and her parents now belong to. He and Tyla are true mates, even though she wants nothing to do with him. One day, she receives a call from her cousin, who with her parents, settled in North Carolina after the pack was torn apart, asking for help. When Tyla and Sebastian arrive, they discover Tyla’s aunt and uncle dead and her cousin missing. Now, they have to find who has her and what they want. These characters seem to just jump out at you. They pull you in and make you a part of the story. The writing doesn’t let you go. You become part of it and need to know what happens. I couldn’t stop reading. I was hooked. The chemistry between Tyla and Sebastian is just right. You root for them to get together and are happy by the end. The twists and turns in the writing keep you begging for more. I can’t wait for the next book!!!!

Love Sebastians strength. What a story. This sure fought her feelings. Glad Sebastian finally got her to see what was the right thing to do. Can not believe the lengths some people will go to for revenge. Glad everything worked out the way it did. Loved the ending. Can't wait to read more of this series.

L.P. Dover has done it again with this page turner! Resisting the Moon picks up shortly after Turn of the Moon with Tyla and Sebastian as the main characters. You definitely need to read Turn of the Moon first then read this one because Tyla and Sebastian’s relationship and angst actually start there and explode in this book. The story is captivating and had several twists that I as the reader didn’t see coming the way that they did. I had hunches, but how the storyline unfolded didn’t disappoint. The characters, as always, were well rounded and some lingering questions from Turn of the Moon were answered! Overall, L.P. Dover has you on the edge of your seat throughout the book and keeps you begging for more. Excited to see who gets the next book in the Royal Shifter Series!

Resisting the Moon is the second installment to L.P. Dover's A Royal Shifters series. And while it can be read as a stand a lone, I suggest you read the first book, Turn of the Moon, as that's where all the characters are first introduces and includes some back story to Resisting the Moon. ** After suffering heartbreak more than once, Tyla Rand believes that there is not happily ever after when it comes to love, in her future. She's content to live her life without a mate, if it means to save her from another heartbreak and the life of the she loves. That is, until Sebastian Lyall enters her life. Just when Tyla finally lets go of her fears of love and loss, she discovers a deadly problem with the surviving members of her previous pack. Old enemies come out of the woods, and Tyla is on a mission to find and protect her previous pack that she believed was wiped out long ago. New bonds are formed, betrayals are revealed, and lives are at stake, but Tyla, with the help of Sebastian, will not give up until the last remaining members of her previous pack are safe and families are reunited. ** I had a house to clean and presents to wrap, and none of that got done! Resisting the Moon completely sucked me in. Once I started the story, that was it. All my errands and needs to be done list when straight out the window. Tyla and Sebastian's story seemed more thought out and it flowed better. Maybe because they were away from their pack, and the story focused on them, even though new characters where introduced. I love the new "breed" of characters Dover introduced to us. Again, she put her own twist on the shaper shifters folklore and it worked. I also like how she lets us see battles, punishments, and the after effects in all its gory details. It was something I wish we had in Turn of the Moon, but now that I saw how brutal her wolves could be, I'm not sure which why I like better. *grins* Dover did a great job with pulling all your feeling out. My heart broke when Tyla found out about her previous pack and what she thought was true wasn't. The suspense and had me turning pages, wanting more. The romance and protectiveness of Sebastian just made we swoon. Dover always writes strong female heroines, but in this series, I love that while the hero is alpha, she also makes the heroine alpha and just about equal. As always, I enjoy L.P. Dover's books, and Resisting the Moon was no exception. Don't resist purchasing this book!

As a huge LP Dover fan, I was excited to read this book and to be drawn into the paranormal world. Wonderfully developed characters, Sebastian and Tyla, are put through drama and danger that made me stay on the edge of my seat. I could relate to Tyla's reservations regarding Sebastian as her true mate. She has gone through so much, and yet she stays strong. I really enjoyed this book, and it solidifies that Ms. Dover can write any genre and create beautifully written characters and story lines. Resisting the Moon is a definite five-star read from me.
