Resolving Conflicts: How to Get along When You Don't Get Along

Resolving Conflicts: How to Get along When You Don't Get Along

by Karen Judson

Editorial Reviews

School Library Journal - School Library Journal
Gr 6 Up-A well-researched overview of the elements that comprise conflicts, with scenarios that offer practical suggestions for resolving them. Each of the seven chapters has a clear focus, which makes the book ideal for reports. It will also be useful to student peer mediators. Though it primarily focuses on interpersonal conflict, it includes interesting historical examples of peaceful conflict resolutions. One chapter deals with bullying. Pages of straight text without graphic support will be burdensome for reluctant readers, but full-color photos appear regularly enough to break up the text for most students.-H. H.
