This work written in 1988, concerns the fate of a young man who dies and then is reborn via the kiss of an Egyptian goddess. However, the world to which Eric Sothis revives, although very similar to the world he had just left, is also very different. He is now a free man, and must learn to bear the heavy load of liberty.
